But Dave,

Even when my spelling is incorrect, my reading is just fine.

Next time watch 60 minutes.

Still doesn't equate to claiming to be the "greatest president ever". And besides.....What are you expecting him to say? Go on 60 Minutes and engage in a solid 20 minutes of self flagellation?

Show me the politician that's going to get in front of a camera and deliberately deride himself as a total idiot. I dare you. Good luck with that.

Dave

Bullshit! Tell me when a Republican First Lady was ever subjected to the vilification that Mrs. Obama has received in this thread. Having a hard time admiting it to yourselves so you keep trotting out the "Some of my best friends are . . " crap

So, rather than have someone else's interpretation, read the words:
"The issue here is not gonna be a list of accomplishments. As you said yourself, Steve, you know, I would put our legislative and foreign policy accomplishments in our first two years against any president -- with the possible exceptions of Johnson, F.D.R., and Lincoln -- just in terms of what we've gotten done in modern history. But, you know, but when it comes to the economy, we've got a lot more work to do. And we're gonna keep on at it."
Whether one agrees with it's substance or not, passing the most major piece of health-care legislation since Medicare is big. Restoring the auto industry is big. Passing finance reform is big. Ending the war in Iraq is big. Taking out Bin Laden is big. Putting a major hurt on Al Quaeda and the Taliban is big.

Regards,

D-Ray

Agree! But big things are expected of our presidents. Are they not?
Now...if we can only make the congress and senate fall in line to do their jobs...afterall...we do pay all their salaries.

I don't know for sure, but it could be that China pays their salaries. Ha, that might explain a lot. I guess it depends on how they move the numbers around, since none of it's real anyway.
