It was reported that an invading Ottoman army turned back in fright when it encountered thousands of rotting corpses impaled on the banks of the Danube.[10] It has also been said that in 1462 Mehmed II, the conqueror of Constantinople, a man noted for his own psychological warfare tactics, returned to Constantinople after being sickened by the sight of 20,000 impaled corpses outside Vlad's capital of Tārgoviște

We could have rammed a telephone pole up his ass, and secured it to the torch of Lady Liberty. Don't want to piss off Muslims? Fuck Muslims and the filthy horses they rode in on. Even the non-violent ones believe in wife beating and keeping women down, not to mention so called honor killings. The religion is one for Barbarians, plain and simple.

Oh, and krazygirl, you'll find that Eddie is just a few bricks shy of a full load. Last I could decipher from his ramblings, he's all for a utopia where there are no consequences, no money issues, no prison, no war, etc.. Everyone on the planet could just sit round the sun eating smores and singing kumbaya.
Muzzies don't like little dogs.

And I just spent a couple of hours of my beloved Saturday repairing a chain link fence, not so much for my customers, but because they can now let their little dog run loose in the backyard.

Tell you what, finding out that them Muzzies don't like little dogs pisses me off WAY more than finding out the bastards killed Dale Earnhardt!!!

That, sir, is a good line.

Is that a Bhunter original? Shoot, even if you were doing your Milton Berle imitation, you showed a good eye.

Hmmmmmm. An unarmed ex-leader (or one that was not effectively armed) gets dragged from his shelter, has the shit beaten out of him, put on display then while crying for mercy gets shot in the head. Doesn't that constitute a war crime?

"I think we can all agree that Muslims are not alone on religious fervor.

Religious Extremism is a part in any one of the worlds cultures. Name me a religion that never attacked non believers".

Buddhists?

Ah, the view from across the pond...always appreciated.

My quick answer to your query is that I suspect that more people have been murdered in the name of religion than even the quest for money.

And to quote Clint Eastwood from Unforgiven, "Well, he should have armed himself".

Don't make it good or bad, right or wrong...just the way the cookie crumbles.

After all, we are dealing with the behavior of homo sapiens...perhaps the ONLY thing which hasn't evolved.

Just some thought from Bugtussell,

Chas

Funny, I was just thinking about that while I was out for a run. Never hear of a radical Buddhist. Or a radical Atheist, come to think of it. Maybe the Buddhists and Atheists should get together and tell the rest of us to knock it off.

Nah, I've never met an Atheist who wasn't a self righteous prick.

Wasn't Hitler an atheist? And Stalin, for that matter?

Good point. I thought better of it as I was typing. Atheists are out. Hindus? They seem pretty peace-like folks.

Hindus? How about India's almost continuous war against Pakistan? And China, for that matter.
