......, note that you are using the letter of a British soldier, writing AFTER the battle , in an attempt to explain WHY there ever WAS a battle in the first place! Keep in mind he was also trying to COVER his own butt as well. Also keep in mind that he had NO desire to let his superiors know that Revere had gotten PAST their lines and was able to warn a substantial part of the local militia, right under their noses! It's kind of funny and kind of sad that you have to resort to using the letters of the opposition (read: British) to try to prop up Mrs. Palin.
