If you're talking about Dan Rather, he didn't resign. He was fired. He still says the story was accurate, which, of course, it is. He does admit he was given bad information, but what the story alleges is accurate.
Not sure what that has to do with the shootings in AZ.

Yeah, the guy was a loon, but it's somehow the GOPs fault. Where have I heard anti-banker rhetoric before Blue? Hmm....
What a nice hammer to use on the tea partiers.
Disagreement is verboden.

Okay so no "bandoliers " and I would know an AK47 if I saw one. So, you'll have to tell me if there is one here.

What do we have, Chas?

We have someone who started shooting for reasons other than you mention.

Did the anti-banker rhetoric contain images of weaponry, or talk of "gather(ing) your armies"?
Disagreement is not forbidden. If disagreement were forbidden, then how do you explain millions of people showing up in D.C. to express their disagreement and returning home safely?
Making threats whether subtle or implied, however...............could be examined, perhaps?

Distrust and hatred towards the government?
Gee, where have I heard that before?

You're concerned about citizens attending rally on the Mall in support of their 2nd amendment rights?

What a bunch of law-breaking savages.

Hate - speech for sure.
EDIT: It just a occurred to me: in the WaPo post, the speaker is taking about the abuse and mis-treatment he's experienced for speaking out in favor of his 2nd amendment rights. Talk about pot/kettle.
