KTLA News 'Masked Border Patrol agents detain landscaper after repeatedly hitting him'

"In a video circulating on social media, a group of masked U.S. Border Patrol agents is seen striking and subduing a man in Santa Ana before forcing him into the back of an unmarked car on Saturday.

The incident sparked protests in the following hours, and an online fundraiser was started through GoFundMe, where family members identified the victim as Tustin resident Narciso Barranco, a father to three sons who are all U.S. Marines."

Those sneaky gang, members masquerading as landscapers. Others infiltrating (Wyt) America one day-labor job at a time. Not to worry. Taco's got the perfect man for the job...

A judge just put a stop to some of these blatantly illegal actions by ICE.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A federal judge on Friday ordered the Trump administration to halt indiscriminate immigration stops and arrests in seven California counties, including Los Angeles.

Immigrant advocacy groups filed the lawsuit last week accusing President Donald Trump’s administration of systematically targeting brown-skinned people in Southern California during its ongoing immigration crackdown. The plaintiffs include three detained immigrants and two U.S. citizens, one who was held despite showing agents his identification.

I think the idea is to make the atmosphere in the US so toxic that nobody will want to come here. It looks like it's working, as about 8,700 attempted crossings were detected in May 2025, 92.6% fewer than in May 2024.

Now the question is: who is going to do the work that all those undocumented people were doing?

Republicans may not like the answer.

Key Takeaways

Farm Labor in the U.S. remains heavily dependent on undocumented workers, comprising 40–45% of the total workforce.

Recent ICE raids have triggered acute labor shortages, particularly in California, Texas, and Pennsylvania.

Disruptions in farm labor are leading to unharvested crops, food supply delays, and rising grocery prices.

Most undocumented workers are long-term residents with limited access to healthcare or legal protections.

Agricultural leaders are calling for reforms to stabilize the farm labor system and protect food security.

Didn't take any time at all, too. Middle of July and we have the Guard and a company of Marines backing up La Migra thugs chasing down gardeners and carwash employees in LA county.
So far they're staying mostly invisible here in lily white Orange county. Don't want to upset the local reichwing burgermeisters in Newport Beach...

Rest in peace, Jaime Alanis. Deepest condolences to you and your family.

"Alanís had worked at Glass House for a decade and was “his family’s only provider”, according to a GoFundMe fundraiser by his niece, Yesenia Duran.

“My uncle Jaime was just a hard-working, innocent farmer. He has his wife and daughter waiting for him,” Duran wrote.

United Farm Workers pledged to assist the family.

“Our hearts are heavy for the grieving family of Jaime Alanís, who died from injuries sustained during a chaotic raid on Thursday,” the advocacy group said. “We’ll do everything we can to support them. We continue to work with hundreds of farm worker families navigating the aftermath of this violent raid.”"

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...ice-raid-death

A simple farmer felt he had to take a dangerous and ultimately fatal risk just to return to his family at the end of a long workday instead of being locked up in a dog run at the local CBP facility.

I hang my head in shame at what America has wrought in my name.
