It's something I miss, we had a disagreement, I dug into it and discovered I was wrong about something - that's a win in my book.

But, saying who goes into my granddaughters bathroom is none of my business is a bridge too far...

I want to play devil's advocate for a moment. Say some boy that identifies as a girl. Walks, talks and believes deep down that he really should be a girl then that boy starts using the girls bathroom. What happens? What happens because he used the girls lavatory? Is it just a morals issue? Of course this would depend on the girls in question accepting this "trans" person as one of them. Definitely not advocating for making someone do something they're against.

One thing missing from a ladies lavatory are urinals. All toilets are usually in individual stalls with a locking door.

So, what's the moral panic for?

They imagine perverted males presenting as trans in order to spy on or mess with the girls. In the school setting, I can't see a teenage boy pretending to be trans if they aren't. Anyway, if someone like this actually did anything bad it can be handled the same way you'd handle any other male intruder. Scream and get security. It's not like a trans person gains access that isn't available to any intruder. We don't have security at bathroom doors anyway, though those in the grip of this panic seem to think we should....

There is a better chance some from your family your church or sports coach messing with the child. Then someone in a bathroom pretending to be whatever...

These people who are so violently opposed to someone identifying with a different sex then born as. Yet are all to accepting of all the insanely rich who identify as poor and in need a tax cut in order to survive....

Spent Saturday helping the SO's MAGA branch of the family split a couple of tractors. And what you say is true.

I went above and beyond with my reaching out, normal for me. After a while a few admitted they didn't think it was going to be such a shit show, a couple doubled down defending their hill after the others started showing signs that the kool aid was wearing off.

It got heated a few times, but we still had an overall good day with beers and a cookout at the end of the day.
