"Tariffs war halts US beef exports to China as Australia fills the gap"

According to the US Meat Export Federation, American pork and poultry plants had their export registrations with China renewed on March 16, but China "had still not renewed the eligibility of any US beef establishments".

"The majority of US beef production is now ineligible for China," it said."

"This impasse definitely hit our March beef shipments harder and the severe impact will continue until China lives up to its commitments under the Phase One Economic and Trade Agreement."

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-04-...s-up/105166632

"While some US beef has trickled into China in the past few weeks, ABC Landline has been told the trade has now ground to a halt — especially after China announced retaliation tariffs."

Great term for what is happening in Trump Tariffs world, "we are decoupling from China".

Question remains, how is that going to work. Perhaps we can mimic China, sell the beef to the Aussies who then can sell to China.

I think China is the one doing the decoupling. Once the Orange Menace is gone will they recouple?

If they get comfortable dealing elsewhere, I'm thinking that would be a hard "no". What the US needs to remember is that the damage has been done: much of the rest of the world no longer views them as a reliable trading partner. That damage can possibly be undone, but it will most likely be a rocky road. And as countries like China are wont to do, trade policy, foreign policy and political ideology eventually become inseparably entwined, making it more difficult to start from scratch developing inroads as time goes by.

TLDR: The sooner the US stops with this nonsense, the better chance there will be for a reasonable outcome.

But who is going to stop Trump? He is even ignoring the directives from the SCOTUS who in their infinite insanity granted him extensive executive powers whereby even his criminal misdeeds were whitewashed as official acts. Now everything he does is an official act, just ask Stephen Miller or Steve Bannon for a better perspective.

And China besides not renewing import licenses for US beef have now instructed their domestic airline(s?) not to accept deliveries of Boeing aircraft. These are finished planes, not pending orders waiting to be built. And EU is thanking Trump profusely on behalf of Airbus. Boeing has about 4,600 planes on back order, wonder how many more will be cancelled because of increased cost due to Trump's tariffs.

Xi flexing his muscles and all Trump can do is make bogeys, not that one will see it on his score card. He has an amazing record of winning very tournament he has entered.

China orders airlines to suspend Boeing jet deliveries amid trade war, Bloomberg News reports

I didn't say anybody was going to, or even could stop him. I think the Supreme Court is about to find that out.

Even after Felon is no longer occupying the Oval Office the world will be looking at the U.S. like how could we have allowed this to happen. Massive restructuring will have to take place.

Oh he could be stopped but the question is will anyone with the capability to do it, do it. It would have to get messy. The enemies domestic will have to be dealt with. Don't know if that's going to happen.

We won't import American beef for any reason.
