After Trump caved to the financial markets, they now have 90 days to come up with trade deals with 90 countries.

Pete Navarro whom Elon Musk called a moron and dumber than a sack of bricks) had this to say with the requisite fawning of the Big Cheese.

Quote:
White House trade adviser Peter Navarro countered on Fox Business Network on Friday that Bessent, U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick could accomplish the job.
"So we're going to run 90 deals in 90 days. It's possible," he said.
Ultimately, Trump, "the boss, is going to be chief negotiator. Nothing is done without him looking very carefully at it," Navarro said.
The Boss is on the job folks.

After it took 2 years for Trump to negotiate the trade treaty with Canada and Mexico that he just reneged on.

I am anxiously waiting for Trump to cave on China though I don’t see an easy pathway. He just cannot win according to the experts. Longer he waits, it is going to get worse for the US. And if he is waiting for Xi to call him, may not happen soon enough or not at all.

He does not care how much damage he does in the meantime because none of it touches him.

It’s a sobering reflection on our political climate that we must look 7,000 miles away to a foreign leader for the kind of courage needed to stand up to Trump when half of our elected members of Congress wont do the same.

Plus the snatching up an removal to another country of people with little care if legal or what courts say.

Then told we can't do anything about it now.

Too it seems to be accepted by the country...

Great post.

Let us not forget the ten Democratic Senators who voted for the GOP crafted stop gap spending bill, thus giving Republicans months to cajole, arm twist and pass a budget for next year which as its center piece includes yet another unfunded $4Trillion+ in tax cuts and $1.5 Trillion in spending reductions, most of it from cutting Medicaid.

He crossed a blood red line today, I say, when he worked, on an open mic, on the deal to send "homegrowns" to El Salvador. That's an open declaration that Constitutional rights are done here. I say it's him that's done. Because it's him or us.
