Sure, and we'll get them maybe when we get a new Constitution, which will be when we split this county apart.

A new Constitution? We don't need to throw out the baby with the bathwater. An amendment (albeit virtually impossible) would also do it. We just need a Congress that would finally consider what's good for the country rather than seeing their positions as lifetime appointments.

I know it wont happen in my lifetime.

I see a schism, and a new constitution for the blue States, as the least impossible way to this Improvement and other good things. Under the old constitution, the red States will block all constructive amendments.

There is a long overdue movement in the Dem party for lifers to vacate their seats. I for one will not financially contribute to the party as it now stands and there are others like me, but will support individual candidates as long as they are under 60.

"Bill Ackman, a billionaire hedge fund manager who endorsed Trump after the July assassination attempt, wrote on X on Sunday that going ahead with the new tariffs was tantamount to launching an “economic nuclear war.” He pressed the White House to slow down and institute a pause on the levies.

“This is not what we voted for,” he wrote." WaPoo

I beg to differ.
This shitnado is exactly what almost half of the US voters wanted and you cheerleaded for, Ackman.

Fuck around and find out, arschlöchers. Too bad they're taking the rest of us along for the ride. Special thanks go out to the self absorbed Bernie brats and their ilk for sitting on their thumbs last November. smh

Well, despite DJT's best efforts the stock market refuses to stay down. I was thinking just yesterday that it was grasping at straws looking for any excuse to rally. Really? A 2500+ point swing to the upside because of a 90 day "pause" on tariffs?

What I'm looking for now is a reversal/sell-off when reality sets in and the market figures out that we're pretty much as fucked as we were yesterday. That might even start to happen before the close today.

We'll see. If I'm right, you read it here first.
