Tornado's

Condolences from this Australian to the families who lost loved ones in the recent tornado's in the USA.

With all that's going on this event seems lost in the noise.

We were not effected by the recent storm outbreaks. That is much they way these strong storms are that spawn Tornado's. A house will be gone, or a whole neighborhood looks like a war zone. Then right across the street, next door untouched.

You don't get then in your neck of the woods?

Tornado's no.

But we do sometimes get Cyclones, I'm in Brisbane and we just had a rare event of one off the coast here (they are usually much further north), it lingered for days then hit land, luckily it was only a Cat 2 and diminished to Cat 1 as it hit land then into a low.
Some destruction on the coast, but most issues was with flooding.

We are just outside of Louisville KY in the Ohio Valley, so many miles from any ocean. When Hurricanes do effect our weather they are pretty much spent to a large degree. High winds and lots of rain.

Tornado's use to be a spring time events now are close to year around occurrences. Most people will have some sort of phone alerts set.

Tornado's

So, when California had wild fires Trump talked a lot about putting conditions on federal aid. Have not heard any talk of conditions for federal aid in those red states for recent disasters.

I hope they're on board with Felon wanting to end FEMA so the states can take care of such things on their own.
