Felon (the stable genius ) doesn't seem to understand that the U.S. isn't the only game in town. Our neighbors aren't as easily bullied as Republicans in Congress. At some point they'll band together for their own survival. Felon is already a laughingstock and who wants to deal with a clown?

I strongly believe that Trump's imposition of new tariffs is to fund his expiring tax cuts and worse, promised windfall for the oligarchs. The removal of debt limit does not seem to be on the table nor I believe that every Republican in the House will vote for another round of tax cuts. How this plays out though still remains to be seen.

I am betting though that any new tariffs will be rescinded (Trumps will cave) in short order because our economy cannot be sustained by imposing an artificial inflation.

He'll end the tariffs pretty soon and claim victory for returning to the status quo from the crisis that he himself created. That's his jam.

That's easy when you lie through your teeth and your people believe it.

Here is yet another disgusting example of Trump primarily focused on $Trump.
I know little about crypto and bitcoins except that its not to be trusted since there are no underlying value unlike stocks and bonds (caution: Tesla has minimal underlying value!).

Quote:
David Sacks, a PayPal co-founder and venture capitalist who co-hosted the glitzy June gala at his home in the Pacific Heights neighborhood of San Francisco, is now White House crypto czar. A Week 1 executive order empowers him to work across agencies to craft friendly rules.

But a few days before Trump’s inauguration, the president-elect launched his own $TRUMP “meme coin,” swelling his personal wealth by 800 percent, at least on paper. The transactions alone generated some $11.4 million in fees for entities affiliated with him. So Trump is now a “crypto president” in a literal sense, too — just not the kind his supporters might have had in mind.
Quote:
That $MELANIA arrived for purchase soon after her husband’s coin didn’t help. Neither did Ivanka Trump having to denounce a much-hyped $IVANKA coin as an unendorsed fraud.
Quote:
Holders of $TRUMP, reported Bloomberg, can now use the coin as payment on GetTrumpWatches.com, GetTrumpFragrances.com and GetTrumpSneakers.com to, well, get Trump watches, fragrances and sneakers.

Over the next four years, as the industry tries to gain good standing by persuading lawmakers and agencies to give digital assets the green light, it also risks being dragged down by its own backers looking to make a quick buck … and perhaps most of all by the very prominent, very public backer sitting in the Oval Office.
Looks to me like $Trump is basically printing his own money and selling it without having any underlying assets. If only all of us could run that scam, wonder if I can make my own credit cards?

Nationwide anti-trump protests scheduled across the country on 2/5/2025. Be there or be square. The protest in D.C. at the Capital is scheduled to commence at 11:00 A.M. We need to scare the Republicans in office so they're more afraid of the voters than they are of the Felon.

I read yesterday (do not recall where) that Chinese eCom distributors who ship directly to US consumers do not pay tariffs, not even the 25% enacted during his first term (which Biden continued) because we do not have a collection system! And there are several other ways the Chinese manufacturers can work around the tariffs simply because they are the only game in town. Heard that Walmart and Harbor Freight are two favorite places where Americans shop. And look at all the rave reviews on AK for Chinese knockoffs for iconic tube amplifiers. Shipped directly to you, no sales tax either.

Trump during Netanyahu's visit to the WH is now proposing long term ownership of Gaza by the US displacing all Palestinians. The US (acttually a Trump crony) will rebuild (develop) Gaza while he finds a beautiful spot for the Palestinians to settle in.

I am sure Jared is busy writing a business plan for the redevelopment of Gaza which should include gated Golfing communities and future home of Liv since if this ever comes to fruition, it will be all be financed by the Saudi Sovereign Wealth fund.

So in two weeks, Trump has managed to piss off half the US, the Canadians, Panamanians, Dutch, Mexicans, Europeans, Arabs and Cuba for good measure. Putin too since he wants Ukrainian rare earth minerals for his support of their war against Russia.

Trump proposes U.S. control of Gaza, permanent displacement of residents

Quote:
President Donald Trump on Tuesday proposed that the United States take a “long-term ownership position” over Gaza, moving its residents to a “good, fresh, beautiful piece of land” in another country and rebuilding the war-torn territory under U.S. control, offering a vision of mass displacement likely to inflame sentiments in the Arab world as he welcomed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House.
