Canada, Greenland and Panama Canal Invasions Imminent?

At first we thought he was joking, but the more he talks about it, the more serious he sounds. Kneecapping the economy of your biggest trading partner would be a good way to kick it off.

Hope to be able to control myself from the repeated chances and temptation of saying "I Told You So"........

Picking fights with your allies, friends what a great idea.......

Surprisingly the idea of Canada being annexed by Trump doesn't seem to be getting much traction up here....He sounds like someone saying he only wants the Sudentenland. Maybe he sees himself as "Emperor of the Americas".

Its gonna be a tough four years for all and sundry.

Trump is testing the waters and if he feels its warm, he will declare national emergency and appoint himself president for life. He has to do this in the first two years, House may switch sides in 2026 and he will need to prevent that possibility.

Its all in the hands of Musk, Bezos and Zuckerberg to name the ring leaders.
FB just joined X in getting rid of internal moderation.

You think there might be something to this global warming after all?

Greenland and Canada without ice or cold winters you know. Plus all the untapped natural resources and open year round shipping lanes. Lots of money to be made....

Yes, very Presidential.

You have helped elect a child to lead the country you claim to love.
Now we have watch him destroy it to the best of his ability.

I will say this, and having lived in both Canada and the US I think I am qualified to make this judgement: Canada works better than the US. Our infrastructure is more functional, business and real estate transactions are less convoluted, the government, while cumbersome and obtuse, is far less bureaucratic (and its leaders don't scare me, at least not yet).

Oh, and I mustn't forget, I got a $600K operation and all I had to chip in was eighty bucks for the ambulance ride. The government may even pay for my next root canal.

Thanks but no thanks, Don-Don -- not even if you put the Great One in charge.

An invasion would require military leaders to go along with this fuckery. With the party of tRump/Musk running the show for the forseable future at least, I don't see Canada, Greenland or Panama yearning to join the circus. I agree that Sir Grift-a-lot is just beating his gums knowing it'll never come to pass. By and by he'll be on about something else and the meda whores will cover it ad nauseam. Right now it's getting him lots & lots of media attention which he craves almost as much as money and power.
