"""What I want to do, and what I will do, is you graduate from a college, I think you should get automatically, as part of your diploma, a green card to be able to stay in this country," Trump told the All-In Podcast in June.""

This will help a lot of aspiring foreign students, their immediate families (a new form of anchor babies since eventually green card holders become legal citizens) and American colleges and universities who will welcome a much needed infusion of inflated tuition fees, pretty much locking out most American high school graduates. For example, UC Berkley's latest enrollment numbers show a 51%+ Asian students who are effectively displacing American students. But OTOH, the university can and will make the claim that they cannot find enough American high school graduates who will qualify.
As for Trump's proposal of awarding green cards to anyone that graduates with a college degree, that will be a total disaster. Expect that will invite second and third rate foreign students obtaining useless degrees, they will get a green card just for graduating with 'toilet paper degrees'. This in itself will become big a business overnight inundated with recruiters and advisors placing foreign students in American colleges (a lot of for profit colleges have been shutting down for lack of enrollment). Most of them when they graduate will qualify at best for supervisors at Walmart and McDonalds and these people will displace Americans.
But if Musk is happy, Trump is also happy.

Help foreign students stay in this country and be in the job market up against people born here right? Ahead of others waiting their turn to get in.....
If students are brighter more capable with qualities local talent lack. Then that is what should be addressed. Why is local talent not better?
I'm for immigration not an open door into this country. This policy is not a surprise coming from the party of hypocrites calling themself Republicans.

Mentioned it to a Trump supporter yesterday and it was pathetic and funny both at the same time seeing the wheels turning in his head. In the attempting to find a way of putting a positive spin onto a response.
Finally settling on he is smart and must have a good reason I just don't know it..... (until FOX news tells him be a good guess )

Egan, driving a taxi, allegedly followed Alex's vehicle for approximately 40 miles on December 18, shouting at him from a stoplight something to the effect of, "are you even a U.S. citizen? This is Trump's America now! I'm a Marine and I took an oath to protect this country from people like you!" per The Associated Press, citing the arrest affidavit.

"Egan tailed Alex to the news station in Grand Junction, Colorado. Upon arrival, Alex exited his vehicle and attempted to enter the building, but Egan chased him, demanding identification and then tackling him to the ground.
Witnesses and coworkers intervened as Egan placed Alex in a headlock, causing him to struggle to breathe; the attack was partially captured on surveillance footage.
Police arrested Egan on charges of second-degree assault, bias-motivated crimes, and harassment by following and ethnic intimidation.
Sunshine Rides, the taxi company where Egan was employed, has suspended him and pledged to assist law enforcement, condemning the incident as unacceptable and harmful"

Hope a small veer from topic can be forgiven but I was just taking a break from my Monday afternoon vacuuming and I saw a story on CNN that provoked a thought that may not be substantial enough to support a thread of its own.
They were doing, predictably enough, a biography/obituary of Jimmy Carter and came to a segment wherein he gave his opinion of his presidential successors. He said (paraphrasing) Trump was not legitimately elected in 2016 because he'd lost the popular vote and was
essentially unelectable absent Republican gerrymandering. He actually called Trump an "illegitimate president".
Gee, is CNN trying to goad the orange man-baby into saying something rude about a much-beloved former president? And will the spoiled child be able to resist taking the bait?
