The next event in Trump’s backpedaling decathlon: his beloved tariffs. His pick for commerce secretary, Howard Lutnick, has already called Trump’s oft-threatened tariffs a mere “bargaining chip” to start negotiations. “When you’re running for office, you make broad statements so people understand you,” Lutnick told CNBC. And Trump, after a campaign of China-bashing, is back to exalting Xi Jinping. “He’s an amazing guy,” Trump said of the Chinese dictator. “The press hates when I say that, but he’s an amazing person.”
Now Trump seems to be echoing his puppeteer Musk after all.

Trouble in paradise?

"Former Illinois GOP Rep. Joe Walsh has no sympathy for billionaires who fell in with MAGA only to realize the movement adamantly opposes the workforce policies needed for their businesses to thrive." continued below

^^ Read this little tidbit just now and Steve Bannon is on the war path.

Steve Bannon Joins War Against Elon Musk as MAGA Implodes

Quote:
“H-1B visas? That’s not what it’s about. It’s about taking American jobs and bringing over essentially what have become indentured servants at lower wages,” the former Trump adviser turned pundit said, referring to the [/URL]visa program that allows immigrants in specialized fields to work in the United States temporarily.
Doubt very many MAGAts even know what an H1B is or how it impacts them, but hey, I am all for internecine warfare within the GOP.

And Trump is asking the SCOTUS to pause on TikTok ruling till his administration takes over. Strange, I thought he was going after Xi in earnest.

The next four years are going to be 'interesting' as in that ancient Chinese curse, 'May you live in interesting times'.

Sure!

About 5.5 Million engineering jobs in the US and 65,000 H1B visas issued a year. What impact will it have? Yet another MAGA nonsense that only sells to those who know the least.
