And now, Trump jumps in and nominates Pam Bondi for Attorney General. She's also scandal-ridden. To wit:

The Trump Foundation broke the law by giving an illegal $25,000 contribution to a political group supporting Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi. Charitable foundations like the Trump Foundation are not allowed to engage in politics. Even more problematic was the fact that the contribution was given as Bondi’s office was deciding whether to take legal action related to Trump University.

His choice of candidates is a way to flip the middle finger at the Dems/Libs and in turn he scores points from his MAGA cult. Win or lose, he comes out ahead and this is what is important to him. Governance is not even in his vocabulary nor are governmental norms.

Right, and I don't know why the Dems/Libs are having such a hard time figuring this out. They respond with hand-wringing outrage at every norm he obliterates. Instead they need to break a few rules themselves in the name of getting shit done.

The next four years should offer plenty of opportunity for just that, because regardless of who ends up in which position, chances are the overarching theme will be Incompetence. Or Chaos. I can't decide.

Is it possible that Trump actually IS playing three-level chess and the whole Matt Gaetz thing was just a red herring intended to shock the system in order to ease the passage of his eventual (preferred) pick? After all, no matter how distasteful some members of the Senate may find Pam, she's no Matt Gaetz and she actually knows how to be an AG.

It's spooky to think he's capable of such strategy. Actually, if it was a strategy it was most likely concocted be Stephen Miller or even Bannon -- it sort of sounds like Bannon's convoluted and contrarian brand of evil genius.

Meanwhile, the Gaetz ethics report is out:

“Trump's nominee to be attorney general was found by congressional ethics investigators to have paid numerous women — including a 17yo girl — for sex, purchased and used illegal drugs, including from his Capitol Hill office…”

It seems Trump has studied Bill Clinton.

I suspect Bill was the reason Trump believed he could
be successful in the politics thing.

Here’s a look at average GDP growth rates under the last six U.S. presidents:

Jimmy Carter (D): 3.25%
Ronald Reagan (R): 3.48%
George H.W. Bush (R): 2.25%
Bill Clinton (D): 3.88%
George W. Bush (R): 2.2%
Barack Obama (D): 1.62%
Donald Trump (R): 0.95%
And Trump is a wile joke while we await the Second Trump Economy!
