Tommy Tuberville, I'm talking to you and Mike Lee too

Trump is trying to get his goon squad such as Gaetz, Hegeth, Patel et. al into his administration, while I am assuming that not very many qualified people want to join his administration either. Their House majority is razor thin, doubtful if Johnson will get elected Speaker again so that in itself will be dramedy, so not much can or will be done in the first six months. This may be another reason for the well qualified people not to throw their hats in.

In the end, this will all be a nightmarish shit show, which is all Trump is capable of. The MAGAts may put up with it, even high five each other, but those who decided that Trump was a better option will have second and third thoughts. Eff them all.

Here for a take on the vetting process from none other than the Alabama Idiot, Tommy Tubes:

Quote:
Tommy Tuberville (audio voiceover): Who are we to say that we’re a better vetter and picker of people than Donald Trump?

CNN’s Manu Raju (audio voiceover): Isn’t that your job? Advice and consent. That’s your job.

Tuberville (audio voiceover): Advice and consent, but that’s more the Democrats. Donald Trump did all the vetting they needed to do on Pete Hegseth. And I just can’t believe we even have people on our side saying, Well, I’ve got to look at this, I’ve got to look at that. What they’re doing is they’re throwing rocks at Donald Trump. They’re not throwing them at Pete Hegseth. They’re throwing them at Donald Trump because they’re saying, Well, we don’t believe you did the right vetting, and we don’t believe he can do the job. Wait a minute, that’s not our job to do that.
Tuberville wants the GOP Senate to be like the Belarus government which rubber stamps everything Putin decrees.

Of course, Tuberville had already threatened the GOP Senators with being primaries if they are not compliant to Trump.

I'm sure we'll be treated to video soon of Tommy Tuberville throwing himself at Trump's feet and kissing them over and over.

Looks like the upcoming Trump regime is taking a LEFT turn.

Economy is not bad after all and deportations are on ICE. Mexico will take back illegal Mexicans but not from any other South American. So this pretty much leaves them in a "no can do" situation.

Tariffs are pretty much dead and it was a bad idea to begin with. GOP House will have a very slim margin and remains to be seen if Johnson will be elected and I believe he will with Gaetz out of the House. So the House at best will limp along with a three seat majority for the next three months or so. Only agenda is the tax cuts, doubt it will be as easy with tariffs off the table.

And today it is reported that Trump is planning to keep Jerome Powell as Fed chair which is quite revealing. Chances are the mortgage rates will stay high for another year or so.

Trump it seems is afraid of lobbying for his nominees, specifically Hegseth. reason give is he does not want to look like a loser before his administration takes over. Gaetz, Hegseth, Gabbard, Kash...............list is long and not very distinguished.

So what is left for the MAGA team?
DOGE and retribution will be in full swing, except Biden may blunt the blow by issuing preemptive pardons. Musk will steal the show and at some point, Trump will have to muzzle him, another "no can do".

Liar Liar Pants on Fire, Nose is longer than a Telephone Wire.

Remember in the movie Pinocchio the boys go to Pleasure Island to smoke, wreck the palce and then come out jackasses? Quite fitting for this administration.

Do you know why Trump won? It's because he's been front and center for the past 4 years, sucking the oxygen out of everything else. And the press sucks it up because they know the word Trump will attract viewers/readers, which means revenue. Click bait.
Here's an example: NPR reported on Trump's visit to Notre Dame, and it wasn't until the 14th paragraph that they mentioned anything about Biden.
