Agreed, but it's not a Get Out of Jail Free card, nor is it an absolution from responsibility.

This is a family matter, a father's decision, not a legal one and I support President Biden's decision pardoning Hunter. Trump's goons, aka the incoming AG and especially the FBI were sharpening their knives for the kill and he said FU to them. He had the power and he used it wisely.

As DQ suggested, let's see if Trump can rescind this.

He has taken responsibility, settled with the IRS having paid all past taxes and penalties, leaving only the trivial gun purchase charge, which is in fact rarely charged and prosecuted.
This is solely a matter of a petty tyrant who was charged with illegally taking a trove of classified documents to his home after surrendering the presidency and also rightly charged with attempting to steal an election he lost, fomenting an armed insurrection as a last ditch effort to accomplish the subversion of the process, using Hunter to harass and '"get to" his legal successor.
It would continue ad infinitum, without the unconditional pardon, out of spite and vengeance. What is so hard to understand about that?
Go back and read the HCR article I linked.

President Joe Biden's pardon list is going to expand according to reports.

Biden Has Drawn Up Pardon List Over Fears of Trump’s Revenge

Quote:
The precautionary pardon considerations stem from Donald Trump’s FBI director pick, who has supported pursuing the president-elect’s foes, according to a new report.
And of course, a Dem idiot felt compelled to say this, the idiot being Adam Schiff. (I did not vote for him since I am now a Nevadan. )

Quote:
“I would urge the president not to do that,” Schiff said to Politico, who reported that the potential nominees know nothing. “I think it would seem defensive and unnecessary.”
I applaud the decision, often times the best defense is offense and the Dems will be playing defense for the next four years.

The Maggers should be OK with this. It gives them one more thing to be angry about. Done should be happy with it too since it will give him cover for failing accomplishing his "lock them all up" pledge.

^^For four years Do Nothing Merrik Garland gave a pass to a traitorous ex-president and what did we get? The traitor got elected to the same office where he escaped two impeachments and where he committed two high crimes; fomenting an insurrection and then stole classified documents (and lied about having them).

Lets piss them off, an angry person makes the worst decisions and besides, what difference will it make now? This election was handed to Trump and his goons and lets rile them up. BFD.
