Granted Ken Paxton is an extreme case, but even so he represents the GOP ideology even escaping an impeachment with overwhelming evidence of corruption.

Liz Cheney endorses Harris for president
It's the latest high-profile Republican endorsement for Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential bid.

A very courageous lady, who won't give in to the MAGA mob, ever; so unlike her disgusting, filthy, cowardly Repube brethren.

With Liz Cheney's direct endorsement and possible active support of Harris-Walz, here is a fervent hope that there will be a Trump eruption. And this was done in Duke University, a classic liberal university.

More proof that we will slip into fascism by Trump planning to appoint Musk as a watchdog for Federal spending if he retakes the WH. Let's not forget that Musk's businesses have been heavily financed by government programs , both directly through subsidies and consumer tax rebates (I myself am one). Sounds like a quid pro quo, Musk games Twitter/X to benefit Trump's election and Trump gives Musk control of the Federal purse strings. Musk in any cabinet position is scary, worse than Trump.

Quote:
Former president Donald Trump formally endorsed a government spending commission that could give Elon Musk broad responsibilities for auditing federal spending and regulations — a move that reflects a tightening political alliance between the two men with less than nine weeks left until Election Day.

I can see why you'd say that, the Musk legend would be that he's a tech genius leader like Speer. But I don't think he really has the goods.

Amazon's Alexa favors Harris over Trump, and this info went viral. I get amused when social media and now infested by AI into decision making roles.

Quote:
The controversy was sparked by a video posted to a right-wing account on social platform X Tuesday that appeared to show Alexa favoring Harris and quickly went viral, garnering millions of views. In the video, a woman asked Alexa “Why should I vote for Donald Trump?” and the assistant replied, “I cannot provide content that promotes a specific political party or a specific candidate.”
Correct answer, but..........

Quote:
But when the woman asked the voice assistant the same question about Vice President Kamala Harris, Alexa responded with a string of reasons to back her in November’s election.

“While there are many reasons to vote for Kamala Harris, the most significant may be that she is a strong candidate with a proven track record of accomplishments,” the AI assistant said. “As the first female vice president, Harris has already broken down major gender barriers and her career in politics has been characterized by a commitment to progressive ideals and a focus on helping disenchanted communities.”
An even better answer. When you have nothing good to say, say nothing.

Former Republican Vice President Dick Cheney says he'll vote for Harris
https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/form...y?id=113467122

There's really no excuse now for establishment Repubes to back the Orange Buffoon.

Quote:
"In our nation’s 248-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump. He tried to steal the last election using lies and violence to keep himself in power after the voters had rejected him," he said in a statement.

"As citizens, we each have a duty to put country above partisanship to defend our Constitution. That is why I will be casting my vote for Vice President Kamala Harris."
