'A betrayal': RFK Jr.'s family members decry his endorsement of Trump

Quote:
“Our brother Bobby’s decision to endorse Trump today is a betrayal of the values that our father and our family hold most dear,” they wrote. “It is a sad ending to a sad story.”
Picture may be too big for Bob's liking and may be excised, so here is the link.

Georgia governor demands removal of MAGA election board members after alarming votes

Quote:
This comes after three right-wing members of the five-person board championed and passed a series of new rules that add extra requirements for county election boards to certify their results.

Under the rules passed this month — less than 100 days before election day on November 5 — county boards must make a “reasonable inquiry” before certifying the election. However, the rules do not define what an inquiry should involve or what “reasonable” means, according to the Journal-Constitution.
Georgia and Nevada are two swing states tilting towards Trump, so this is a move in a good direction.

Has anyone else notice that the usual GOP rabble-rousers haven't been heard from much outside of the RNC Liars Ball? For instance, is wasn't that long ago we couldn't go a day without hearing from the likes of MTG. Did someone at Republican National Command pull their chain? Not that I'm complaining any.
Speaking of chains being pulled. This at the tRump rally in AZ.

One of several messages to Lake because some people just can't take a hint.

"Immagine the indignity of having the woman who beat you in an election certifying the election results of the election that you lost that you couldn't even vote in"

Is Kamala actually going to do the certification session? There may be decisions from the chair called for that impact the course of events, what with the Repubs acting up as they do. So conflict of interest becomes a thing. If Kamala recuses, job would go to the President Pro Tem of the Senate I presume, who is Patty Murray (D) Washington.

Probably, but I enjoy the thought of that prospect throwing the GOP into one gigantic conniption fit. Of course if there is any justice in the world great numbers of tRumplicans will be kicked to the curb as a result of a Blue Wave this November too.

Won't be the first time. G. H. W. Bush certified his own when he was VP to Reagan, the last time this has happened. And Al Gore certified Bush II after having lost to Bush II. Has the MAGA world brought this up as an affront to their divine Felon?

Not to my knowledge, but I admit I don't pay close attention to everything the MAGA world 'brings up.' The earlier precedents were not in times when the authority of the chair might be quite so engaged. The optics might matter.

Trump is now out with his 3rd series of NFT Digital Trading cards, with many special offers and deals for the cultists who buy them for $99 a piece.

The new series features 50 cards. Here is Trump's pitch in his new promo video:

"Purchase 15 or more of my Trump Digital Trading Cards and we'll mail you a beautiful physical trading card. It's really quite something! Each physical trading card has an authentic piece of my suit that I wore for the presidential debate - and people are calling it 'The Knockout Suit.' We'll cut up the knockout suit and you're going to get a piece of it and we'll be randomly autographing 5 of them. A true collectors item. This is something to give your family, your kids and your grandchildren.

It makes me wonder if Whell is cashing out some of his 401(k) for this wonderful investment opportunity.
