Unless Trump can convince folks that he told Buffett to sell his position in Apple, and somehow was involved in the delays of Nvidia's chips getting to market, I'd say the was blowing hot air as well.

Ya think? Meanwhile, Trump is online cheering today's sell-off just days after praising Putin for having made a great deal for himself trading for the hostages he held.

I makes one wonder whose side the Cheeto Benito is on. Are you still a cheerleader for this rapist, felon and traitor?

Yep, could be. Kinda reminds me of the 1999 - 2000 tech stock bubble.

I see you're debate tactics are still powered by straw men.

This is interesting - a couple of guys who served on the Council of Economic advisors during Dem administrations think the Fed is juicing the economy using a variation on Quantitative Easing. Sounds like a leftist version of supply-side economics. https://www.axios.com/2024/08/05/bid...nding-election

You were this board's most reliable and consistent Trump defender for years. Just checking in to see what condition your condition is in.

As for you linked Axios article, it's very much a "one hand hand ... and on the other hand" type article, signifying nothing. One thing I do know is that my investment account is double what it was at its low point under your Dear Leader.

And you're still the man to see if you're short on straw. No, I did not "defend" Trump. I called bullshit on the media's endless barrage of articles from anonymous sources, most of which turned out to be crap. But I can see where you might not understand the difference.

Let's see: Two economics PH.s who studied the Fed and wrote a summary of their findings think there's something odd happening. Finn, who was never an economist nor played one on TV, thinks the information is "signifying nothing."

Hmmm....

Nothing for you to be concerned about, Finn. Goolsbee says the Fed is going to fix it.

So in your eyes, your Dear Leader isn't a convicted felon and rapist - it's "fake news". Got it.

Way to go, Joe!

Actually, this shows the fallacy of attributing singular economic events to a President who had little if anything to do with their success or failure. If I were as duplicitous as some folks are, I'd blame this all on Biden since he signed the CHIPS and Science Act.

Miss me, Bobby?

This is profit taking and re configuring of portfolio by the big boys like Buffet. Feds are expected to reduce interest rate early September and then the market will shoot up again surpassing current losses. I have not seen a general sell call form any investors.

Perhaps Apple and NVIDIA were overpriced?
