Harris could select her prospective vice president, as presidential candidates always do. That person’s name would appear with hers on ballots. But at next month’s Democratic National Convention, she could also announce the core members of her eventual government, including people who didn’t get the VP nod.

Here is an opinion piece published on WaPo yesterday and in it the columnist suggests that Ms. Harris select a team and present them to the voters which will include notable people such as Walz, Beshear, Shapiro, cooper and even Buttigieg. An alert knowledgeable posted that this is against the law, specifically 18 USC 599.

Posting this as a general interest item. I had also posted suggesting something like this, forget which forum/publication because her VP choices are so good that this will be an extremely difficult decision to make.

Musk is at it again.
X suspends ‘White Dudes for Harris’ account after massive fundraiser

SAN FRANCISCO — Elon Musk’s social media platform X suspended “White Dudes for Harris” Monday night, shortly after a massive fundraising call where almost 200,000 people helped raise more than $4 million for the vice president and presumptive Democratic nominee.
The account, @dudes4harris, was reinstated Tuesday morning after it was blocked hours due to “a user report” for “violating our rules against evading suspension,” according to a screenshot shared with The Washington Post. Organizer Ross Morales Rocketto said the group submitted a complaint to X, but had no other direct communication from the platform.
“We hosted the event, and it was wholesome and a bunch of dudes being earnest, getting inspired and excited,” Morales Rocketto said in an interview with The Post. “And suddenly we realized the [X] account had been suspended and we had no idea why.”

Not dumb enough to yell free speech, wondering why. Perhaps the ease with which Ms. Harris is raising funds while elevating her profile is bothering Peter Thiel.
Seems the account was reinstated Tuesday morning.

Big Wind In The Windy City
and it went about as expected. tRump went to speak at the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) annual convention. A convention of real journalists instead of the paid ass kissers on Reich-wing media. tRump immediately at the first question went to his you're rude, unfair and I'm the victim here schtick. He couldn't handle a question from one woman journalist without freaking out so I'll be absolutely gobsmacked if he steps on a debate stage with Kamala Harris.

This is a very good opinion article about Trump and his race baiting which is now in full swing augmented by outright lies like Harris was brought up in Canada, speaks with a southern accent, etc.

Make no mistake about it. He did not attend that convention to win any Black voter support. He went to disseminate more talking points (lies) to his base and try to make it seem like the lefty media was out to get him again. What's funny is Harris Faulkner, one of his biggest supporters over on FAUX news*, asked a simple basic question and he danced around it like a ballerina in toe shoes.

One way Biden can help Kamala is to grab the headlines with his bold actions.
For example, today's headline in WaPo is prisoner exchange with Russia and any rave baiting from DeeJay will be relegated to the bottom. If he can continue to do this, it will choke the fascination that the media has for Trump. Its the $'s that leads to their fascination and fear of his base and death threats that makes them mute their criticisms of Trump.
WSH reporter Evan Gershkovich is included in this exchange and hope they also splash some serious ink on this story.

A part of me says he is thinking the election will not really matter anyway.
Convinced they have enough loyal followers in key positions at local and state level counting or disputing. To toss the election up to the court he controls.
So going to any debate to soon to tell. Looking unlikely at this time. He does like being in front of the camera with a build up of excitement.
Just look at the show he put on yesterday in front of the journalists. His cult is thinking today he showed them. Same will be true after any debate. It being all about feeding the base not gaining votes it seems. Get them to turn out in a mass frenzy on election day.
