Opinion: Mark Kelly has the tough on crime pedigree that Democrats lack. And that could be their greatest weapon against Trump in November.

I would think Kamala would want to distance herself from that "tough on crime" theme.

????

Did you mean maybe?

""I would think Trump would want to distance himself from that "tough on crime" theme.""

Makes more sense being he is the one with convictions and charges pending hoping for immunity.

Republicans like the prison industrial complex (except when used against them, of course).

S. O. P. For many jurisdictions. What isn't and is unethical at the least is bogus arrest sweeps to provide prisoners for kickback employment schemes. For-profit private prisons especially likely to work this hustle.
The folks who advocate privatizing prisons need a close hard looking over, I seriously doubt she was involved in anything so nefarious.

The truth is much more nuanced than what you stated here.

Operative word here is charge. I'd really like to see the tRumplican party try to fly with that. True or not I have no doings with the prison industrial complex or the prison system so it doesn't concern me.

A popular talking point with the nitwits is claiming that no one voted for Harris but here she is headed for Democrat party presidential nomination. Mine and other's answer is we voted for the Biden/Harris team. Ergo we in fact vote for Kamala too. Methinks the Rethuglican party is just supplying their base with nonsensical talking points like they usually do.

Onto important matters. Did The Simpsons once again predict the future?
