They've convinced their base that Biden is a doddering old fool so they're trying to use that to throw shade on his endorsement of Harris. I mean how can she be any good if Brandon is behind her. They don't have time to do a proper character assassination job on Kamala like they did on Hillary.
Five years of trying to destroy Biden down the drain.

Don't get me wrong, I recognize Joe Biden as a good and decent man and, until fairly recently, a very effective leader. I just wish he'd known when to quit. I guess that's a symptom of the disease, though, isn't it?
I've seen 'the disease' up close, more than once. Biden shows verbal gaffs and aphasia, which do not equate to cognitive disability. Biden shows no sign of impairment of judgement, or other gross memory losses and personality changes that come with dementia. In the debate, he had command of a vast store of facts and examples, with he brought up correctly as needed. But everyone concludes he had to quit. Maybe because of the polls. Maybe because he doesn't look good campaigning. But not due to dementia, or any deficit in ability to do job. He was doing the actual job just fine.

Okay then, what is inability to accept reality a symptom of?

I'm thinking he was incredibly sly in the playing this out. Letting the MAGA lead GOP dog and pony show finish up. Letting them have plenty of back patting giddy exaltation thinking of landslides and a easy ascension. VP pick and platform speeches interviews camera shots....

Then wait and announce this move. The C-19 gave him the opportunity to reflect and time out of sight.

Letting them spend $$ on ads and gear going after Biden now worthless....

Priceless!

All that Brandon merch headed for the thrift store

Now all Joe has to do is resign once Harris gets nominated making her #47. All that tRump 45-47 merch becomes worthless too.

Looks like we'd better agree to disagree here.

I know this is all very theoretical, but why would he need to wait for her to win the nomination? To me, that kind of defeats the purpose of him resigning in the first place.

My guess they would be using coup by Biden Harris taking it from Trump yet again his rightful spot. Losing 46 and now 47.....

I totally agree with your assessment.

I wrote him in (2016), voted for him in 2020 and was totally pissed off at him and the DNC for his candidacy in 2024.

Either he is to blame or his inner circle for the situation we are in. K. Harris is by no means the best candidate but she is the only one we have, better to have chosen a true consensus candidate via a healthy primary. But that is not how the DNC operates, they hand pick the candidates.
