Serious question. If Biden steps down now and hands the reins over to Harris, who becomes VP? Does it fall to the next in line of succession? Isn't that the Speaker of the House? The tRumplicans would love for that to happen so Jesus Mike can become VP. Of course that would bring the President Pro Tempore of the Senate (currently a Dem) to the House Speakership.
Many Dem leaders have spoken up in support of Harris for pres. A show of solidarity which could sink the tRumpican hopes of the Democratic party descending into chaos. How fast Harris selects a running mate could provide hints as to whether this has been talked about behind the scenes.

Interesting times indeed.

Would the current tRump merch become collectible? Not that tRump would mind selling all new 45-48 swag to his faithful I doubt they'd mind forking over cash for it. The question Rump's campaign is how to oppose Harris without sounding misogynous or racist or would they even care.

That's not how it works. If you recall your Watergate-era history, you may remember Jerry Ford as the first president nobody voted for, as a direct result of Nixon VP Spiro Agnew's resignation in the wake of a tax/kickback scandal.

Kamala Harris could stir the pot by announcing to MAGAts that their guy cannot become #47 since she is #47. This should piss them off, another round of stop the steal and they storm the WH.

Now that could get very very interesting.

My choice would be the veep, Kamala Harris. We already have the bumper stickers and a coffee cup or two here.

No doubt she's got access to the sizable Biden/Harris warchest and she's raked in $30+ million today.

Interesting times, eh?

She will own Trump in any debate. Will dominate the room so he will probably be a no show.
Or wish he was.....

Were I Harris I'd come with guns a blazing. Highlighting his history of lies. Lord knows sir yaps-a-lot has provided enough material. A the best defense is a good offence situation. Then the Dems should have another four or five "possible" presidential candidates go after Donny and the tRumplicans as well while Harris pivots to policy and continuing Biden's good works.

Indeed. Hillary came off as a pushover because she tried too hard to be diplomatic and presidential, too afraid to come across as a harpie. Biden came across as a pushover in the debate because he wasn't firing on all eight cylinders. Harris, the former prosecutor, would be ready to rumble.

I am betting there will not be a debate. Trump has nothing to lose by abstaining while K. Harris has everything to gain, especially establishing herself as Trump's opponent in this year's election. Trump is a coward and does not debate well while Kamala is an accomplished debater (prosecutor).

He may not be able to stand the image of him being afraid to confront her, however.
