Folks believe the same god that ignored the plight of millions of good people thruout history actually shielded this thoroughly unworthy example from being shot?

The Jan 6 attack on our capitol was a disaster too. If it were not for trump it would never have happened.

Trump's immediate reaction to the assassination attempt is replete with great optics which has endeared him to more people; that is people outside of the maga crowd. It has killed the oft used promotion of Trump as a Vietnam dodger.

Additionally the nature of the miss - it almost succeeded - has engendered the idea of Devine Intervention...that God has saved this man so that he can carry out God's Goodwill.

Wow! WTF A combination of Hollywood and religious mumbo jumbo.

To steal a phrase I saw once in a meme "Was he out of locusts?".

Personally, to me, the image of him standing up/fist raised was what an idiot. If there was a second shooter, like the rumor of a second shooter on the "grassy knoll", which he had no way of knowing there wasn't he'd have gotten his head blown off. Acting brave surrounded by a SS detail does not erase his draft dodging history with fake bone spurs.

I don't believe conspiracy theories.

The shooter likely just wanted to make a name for himself in history.
