Former classmate describes Trump rally gunman as ‘definitely conservative’
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...shooter-motive

More evidence that today's "conservatives" are simply Looney Tunes, as we have seen from posters on these very forums.

Maybe such rifles should come with scopes.

At that distance they are pretty darn accurate if use to the rifle. His probably did have a scope. Most owners add one onto them.

If he was a "true Conservative", his motive could well have been recognising that TFG was just an incompetent narcissistic opportunistic con-man out for himself, and not an actual commited Constitutional Conservative in the conventional sense.
In other words, to rescue the Republican party from its lunatic fringe enthralled with a self-serving demagogue.

The problem with that is DJT is just a symptom of the problem.
Maybe the kid just wanted to be famous? Another John Hinckley perhaps.

He doesn't seem to fit the fame crave mold, and Trump is both a symptom and facilitator /grievance aggregator, a demagogue with a weather vane leading from the rear for his own benefit.
