Oh yes, and like any good conspiracy theory, the fact of its unlikeliness just adds to the certainty that it happened ... because that's what they want you to think!

It is Hollywood and has appeal beyond his base.

Right you are.
Much as I try I can't shake thinking along 'they faked it' lines. No actual wound, blood capsule on Trump's ear broken when he slaps it. Shooter had non-lethal rounds, they are just staging an 'attempt,' just aim to miss. Assured a clean escape is arranged. Etc, etc.

That would assume a large swath of the electorate currently behind Biden would believe Biden organized a hit.

Wow, talk about commitment to a premise!

Maybe he wasn't supposed to wing him?

The perception has shifted and in politics that's everything.

It's hard for me to believe this election is about a choice when the contrast of objectives is so blatant. A constitutional republic vs an authoratarian autocracy led by a vindictive narcissistic dictator granted unlimited powers by his hand picked SCOTUS toadies.
"A Republic, if you can keep it".

I think any "shifting" that might occur would only occur if TFG became somehow humble after this. But being humble just isn't in his DNA. Any time now he'll come out against "his enemies out to get him" and start pitching for donations.

He can really play the "victim" on this.
