I predict Diaper Don will skip to avoid jail. He's got thousands of followers, if not more, in and out of government that would help him do it. Does anyone expect him to sit still for being incarcerated? Even if confined to one of those "country club" prisons he's still confined. It would be a totally different lifestyle to what he's become accustomed to. There are no "gold plated" toilets behind bars.

I very much doubt that our favorite president will ever be incarcerated. Doubt there is any political will nor appetite for a MAGA induced revolution. Best I expect is home confinement with a gag order which may not even work, ie. the gag order.

Might seem like a way to sort-of finesse the situation. Wound Trump enough to keep him out of office (convictions plus ballot closed to him in some states), but don't actually jail him and trigger total civil war. But I think I want him locked-up. Don't want him showing up at the head of a march on Washington....

Don, the SCOTUS could easily help finesse by upholding Colorado’s decision to keep Trump off the ballot, which other states will follow. Least painful solution and Trump can stall his cases till eternity. Buy will they?

tRump is out of office but that hasn't stopped him from making the GOP follow his wishes. As long as he remains free and enabled by the GOP he is a threat to out democratic republic. Jailing him or at least convicting him and sentencing him, though as I said he's skip to avoid jail, is the only way to go now. That and reducing the GOP's influence over our government so the likes of Boebert, Greene, Gaetz, etc. won't have anything to do but piss & moan on Reich-wing media.

Trump is a symptom along with now being a driving force. Before Trump came to power there was a large segment of unrest already in the country. The unrest and unhappiness with their lives. Feeling lost and hopeless left behind for a few. Passed by and blaming those others for what they feel should be theirs.
Not seeing the root causes rather blame those they don't feel comfortable with.
Long after Trump the country will dealing with them. We are still fighting over the Civil War! Look how the tea Party has morphed....

This group has been arming and planning for a war. We had better be prepared.
They have warned us multiple times what to expect.
