Yeah well, if you think you compete just fine, then quit complaining about the profanity, anger and humor. Whether I used it productively or not is your fucking opinion. My fucking opinion is that you quit sniveling about it or use the ignore feature for christ's sake.

I recommend the ignore function.

Cuts way down on posts from people who loudly shout whatever comes to mind, no matter how well thought out it is (or isn't).

Profanity, that is easy. Anger, hmmm, that can be affectation. But humor...that is hard!

Eddie Murphy and the Diceman (Andrew "Dice" Clay) both kinda ruined the "profanity as humor" thing for me back in the 1980s. After hearing Eddie say Motherfucker, or the Diceman say Cunt, about a thousand times each it really took the shine off of the "nudge nudge, wink wink, he's saying dirty words" chuckle.

It was funny when George Carlin did it to make his point.

Yep, he did it sparingly, and within the context of some other really funny point he was making, VS trying to use the profanity itself as the focal point of the humor.

I have to admit, I was a bit of a Sam Kinison fan back then. Sam screaming at the starving Ethiopians, YOU LIVE IN A FUCKING DESERT! MOVE TO WHERE THE FOOD IS!!!

His pro-life routine.

"If you're pre-born you're fine. If you're pre-school...you’re fucked."

Agree 100%, Sam was one of my favorites !!!!

His very cynical worldview meshed pretty closely with mine at the time. Match up that with John Carpenter's apocalypse movies (The Thing, They Live, etc) and that pretty much sums up the 1980s for me
