Israel needs more than US sympathy.
I notice that Israel now has some hesitancy about ground operation into Gaza.

Dondi sounds so pleased. Rooting for the terrorists whether they be foreign or domestic.

Aren't you pleased about a reduction in possible deaths, especially civilian ones?

One one side we have butchers calling themselves Religious Warriors, yet killing innocents and easy targets. hiding behind their own people talking brave.
The other side attempting to stop them.... retrieve hostages. Seeing maybe to much force now as playing into the other's symphony. Rethinking is good.
One should always be cool headed whenever completing justice and punishment. Getting as may supporters as possible.
At least try before going ballistic....

Israel has much more than US sympathy. The US is ready to resupply Israel with weaponry as needed, and has already staged one Carrier Strike Group, with a second is on it's way, to discourage bad actors from interfering with Israel freeing the hostages and taking out Hamas.
Israel is not hesitating one whit, it's preparing.

Well I was hoping for rethinking, as Oerets remarked.

I believe Israel is delaying their strike into Gaza in recognition that the evacuation of Northern Gaza is being actively interfered with by Hamas. The israeli's will only wait so long before moving in.

Make now doubt there will be an attack in Gaza. A forceful brutal one to come.
Israel is a very able competent adversary with the ability to play the long game. A pause was needed for humanitarian and tactical reasons.

As long as there is perhaps the most vicious terrorist organization on the face of the earth in control of Gaza, there will be an unnaceptable number of innocent civilians dying in Gaza. And unless there is a war going on that was started by Hamas triggering Israeli airstrikes on neighborhood rocket launching installations, the killings of innocent Palestinian civilians is being done by Hamas.
As bad as Hamas is, it cant be compared with the Khmer Rouge, but its way fucking bad enough.

My son, who served 6 years for the State Dept in Israel and has many friends in the IDF and the State Dept there, said that it was likely a weather delay. They've had rain, cloudy weather, high winds and heavy seas there for a couple of days now and forecast for another day or two.
