At the moment, I'm not sure. The purpose of the experiment is to assess the ability of the US electorate to use the Internet to form a self-organizing community capable of caucusing around one or more write-in candidates, thus challenging the established national duopoly.

A write-in candidate chosen by the American voters, rather than by a political party, is therefore capable of being elected President.

You have identified the problem. When millions of voters write in random names as an act of protest, the result is wasted effort. If those same millions of voters are persuaded to write in the same candidate.... then something good my happen.

Sure, he's a corrupt, demented empty suit who's never had a real job and has no actual record of achievement. But otherwise, I agree.... he's terrific.

Getting 80 million people to vote for the same write-in candidate is about as realistic as expecting Trump to never again tell a lie.

If 80 million people can be persuaded by the national duopoly to vote for their preferred Bozo, then I'm willing to gamble on a self-organizing community of voters choosing write-in candidates.

I nominate Joe Biden for the write-in candidate.
