I don't think he's going to jail, honestly. If he starts leading more and more in the polls, I bet the cases will be dropped.

I foresee with close to half the country not caring or ignoring the dangers ahead. He will be able to delay stall until after the next election. Using the being the victim in the hope to his advantage and the GOP's will ride along.
Not until after the next election will there be any chance of seeing him behind bars.

I'll take that bet. The majority of Americans want him held accountable, if proven, for his crimes. As the evidence comes out during his trial(s) I don't see him accumulating more support. Oh sure the Republican base is all in but that base wasn't enough to get him elected in 2020. Don't forget, he lost the popular vote twice.

The it's up to the Democrats , Independents and like minded Repubs to educate those people about the dangers ahead.

I will agree that he avoids going to jail, but only if he is acquitted by a jury. If he tries to stall, it may work with a Trumpista holding court, but do not foresee the charges being dropped. There will be a deluge of appeals from people who have been convicted of stealing or mishandling classified documents.

It looks like the NY cases are being adjourned, because of this federal case. So isn't that bad thing then?

The insurrection case (federal) and the GA case (state) are the ones that can come up next. How those two additional cases will impact Trump or his campaign is not going to be very predictable, especially the Republicans once again circle the wagons, or worse yet they try and make a case that this simply more Trump bashing to hurt his campaign.
We are in for some scary and uncertain times since the rule of law does not seem to apply anymore.

Trump doesn’t just cross moral lines; he doesn’t appear capable of understanding moral categories. Morality is for Trump what colors are to a person who is color-blind.
But what’s true of Trump isn’t true of the majority of his enablers. They see the colors that Trump cannot. They still know right from wrong. But for a combination of reasons, they have consistently overridden their conscience, in some cases unwittingly and in some cases cynically. They have talked themselves into believing, or half-believing, that Trump is America’s martyr and America’s savior...
The moral wreckage of Donald Trump’s presidency and post-presidency was predictable and even inevitable. The reason? Trump’s moral depravity, which touches every area of his life, private and public, has long been in public view, undisguised and impossible to miss...
Whatever the precise nature of Trump’s psychological pathologies, we can see for ourselves how they manifest: extreme narcissism, lack of empathy, feelings of persecution, grandiosity, and deceitfulness; impulsivity, shamelessness, remorselessness, and rage; a compulsive desire for attention, an obsessive need to dominate others, an eagerness to shatter social norms, and the belief that rules that apply to others don’t apply to him.

Trump has made being a self centered total lair, a cheat, corrupt to the core immoral as some how totally normal. Accepted the accusations of sexual predator collusion with Russia, attempting a insurrection. Doing who knows what with our secrets.
This is but just a few of the many crimes he has been able to now and forever changed. Making it possible for others to come along and follow doing the same. There will be far more capable sly and ruthless ahead.
