Wow, that's a pretty hefty attempt to whitewash what has been otherwise described as a political dirty trick orchestrated by the Clinton campaign. I have to commend you for your imaginative spin.

Oppo research isn't a dirty trick. Indeed, it's de rigueur in political campaigns and particularly so when one's opponent has boatloads of dirty laundry and shady connections like Trump did. In fact, the oppo research in question was started by Republicans and later picked up by Hillary. It has been investigated extensively and nothing about it was illegal. Accordingly, there's nothing to "whitewash."

As for dirty tricks of the illegal variety, I urge you to take a look at Roger Stone, Paul Manafort and, more recently, Rudy Guiliani's (and Sidney Powell's) antics. The first two were convicted for their dirty tricks and Rudy (and maybe Powell) is likely to be indicted soon in Georgia (and perhaps federally) for his. His dirty tricks in Ukraine also resulted in Trump's first impeachment and his close associates, Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, were convicted of their own campaign crimes involving Russian oligarchs.

So if you're truly interested in campaign dirty tricks, it's unclear to me why you would start with Hillary's campaign (where none were found despite years of looking) and overlook Trump's where there were plenty and people went to jail for them. I suspect the answer to this puzzle is contained in this article by Peter Wehner (who served in 3 Republican administrations):

Trump supporters deny the worst things he has done. Jury verdicts against him are always unfair; impeachments are unjust partisan acts. Investigations of him that have found wrongdoing, all of them, are “WITCH HUNTS.” That is true in perpetuity. So whatever Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and Special Counsel Jack Smith find, whatever indictments they may bring, the charges are by definition unwarranted. Trump is always the victim of persecution. “I think I have been violated as badly as anybody that's ever walked,” he recently said.

Trump is not perfect, most of his supporters will concede; he may be rough around the edges—a “bull in a China shop,” in the words of one friend of mine; a “wrecking ball,” in the words of another—and a man who does some unsavory things. But all of that, and far more than that, is acceptable because he is a “fighter” for their cause, which they are convinced is just, true, and right.

The above post is so full of shit, and it's also a diatribe about stuff I never said, combined with vast oversimplification about what the FBI ended up doing with "opposition research" they knew were falsifications and outright lies.

But you do you, Finn, and keep believing in your hate-fueled little fantasy land.

As I said earlier, you and your MAGA brethren conflate truth with insults. Your adverse reaction to the unwelcome truth about Dear Leader is the same dynamic that drove Fox News to spew expensive lies to their viewers about Dominion. You MAGA types simply cannot handle the truth, demanding to be fed lies, innuendo and propaganda to help convince you that you are not a gullible fool for believing in Trump. Durham tried to provide you that fix, but his biased nonsense could not hold up to scrutiny from the courts and the non-MAGA public.

That matters not one bit to the MAGA masses. They're only care about the "interpretation" their influencers feed them.

So why did the Durham investigation come up empty? Trump's band of crooks from his campaign had to be pardoned to avoid punishment, while Trump is warding off pending indictments with a bevy of lawyers who no longer can defend him for his many other crimes other than write letters to Congress and the AG.

Gym Jordan won't be able to 'dig out of his hole' after Durham report debacle: DC insider
https://www.rawstory.com/amp/jim-jor...830-2660613830

Which, as we have seen in this very thread, won’t matter at all to idiot MAGAMorons, who still fervently believe there was a vast conspiracy. Gym is their anti-hero.

John Durham’s Report Used Sketchy Intelligence That Might Be Russian Disinformation

Anything to help the Dear Leader. What a sham “investigation”.

The MAGA Morons can believe what they want, but it will not change facts.
Trump lost in 2020, Biden is the president and will remain so till January 2025 inauguration.
