I will only say...this depends on the stupidity factor of the target audience.

PS - a big problem with whell's ilk is that they don't understand that the opinions they hold need to be rigorously verified, and even then are likely not to be sufficiently factual.

Anderson Cooper, CNN.

The thing that pissed me off in Cooper's statement, more than anything else was the "you can stay inside your silo" comment. Just since late in the 2020 campaign when Trump's people began telling him he was going to loose, we have been hearing about the "rigged" election. Three fucking years of "rigged" election. Do we need to hear it again on CNN, with a bunch of MAGA idiots bleating with every comment? NO COOPER...WE DO NOT.

Indeed. A Manhattan-born Yale graduate, Vanderbilt heir and life-long NYC resident telling us to get outside of our "silos." What a twit. Due to my infrequent watching of any cable news in favor of print journalism, thankfully I'm not exposed to much of this stupid shit.

Look at the other way around, its the people who live in their silos who believe in the rigged election crap, so Anderson is addressing the wrong audience.

OTOH, the MAGA world is rejoicing how Trump aced his interview, made the Dems and Biden look bad, etc. and this will further cement his front runner status withing the GOP. Ms. Willis, Mr. Smith, where is thy sting? Time to kickup some mayhem in the party of chaos.

I don’t watch MSNBC much anymore. I used to watch FOX NEWS, sort of a "keep your enemies closer" endeavor...not anymore. An occasional youtube rant that looks interesting. The New York Times. NPR, PBS, BBC, mostly.

Am I a typical lefty? I hope so.

I probably spend more time watching live musical performances on youtube than anything else...the most recent I keep watching it over and over...

Live In The Dark - Jeff Beck and Bones UK

Rosie Bones juat makes me crazy. Jeff Beck...the GOAT.

The Washington Post should give serious consideration to abandoning the increasingly trite, passé and delusional declaration on its masthead about “democracy dying in darkness.” It isn’t. It’s dying on primetime CNN under bright lights, with an audience of sycophants making beautiful news with a despot and moderator. When there is no wisdom, patriotism, judgement or sense of duty, the nation will perish. What we are becoming is different from what our ancestors had been.

Or is it? There was nothing new learned from the 70-minute travesty on CNN, but it did remind me of something. Never underestimate the threat, greed, ignorance and a lust for power can create.

Chris Licht’s freak show was an abomination that shamed CNN. That much is clear from the reaction of mortified journalists yoked to a CNN set, and forced to respond to the depravity as if it was virtuous and meaningful.

What is the news? It is the truth about the threat that this country is facing. There is a political movement that rejects pluralism, democracy, civil rights, human rights and America’s ideals. It is a movement teeming with extremists and boiling with violence. It tried to overthrow the government, and opposes the outcome of elections it doesn’t win. It has promised vengeance and retribution against its enemies.

Its name is MAGA. It seeks to take power and burn down the US Constitution. How do we know? Its seditious leader said so. When he lied about it on CNN, the lie rolled over the truth effortlessly. Reporting on this indisputable truth is the job at hand. Instead, Chris Licht has found a partner. Together they are making “news.”

Chris Licht is a ratings whore. It doesn't matter to him how his operation might damage this country. Chris Licht is invested 100% in the rugged individualism philosophy of this country. He's now the CEO of CNN, and if CNN ends up with a bigger market share, Chris Licht is gonna make his current $15 million net worth look like a pittance. Its his big chance to be a billionaire, its not gonna matter to him if this country goes down the shitter.
