Speaking of land area vs congressional districts, looked up NV since we now reside in Reno.

The math doesn't work that way. See above.

How Much Voting Power Do You Really Have in Your State?

Every Californians vote is worth 27.7% of every Wyoming voter's vote, thanks to the founders and their elitist Electoral College.

The author of that article is just as brainless as you are. The US citizens never have directly elected the president, so the premise of that article, as well as your comments, are meaningless.

Look at it a different way. You actually should be celebrating the Electoral College.

California has 55 electoral college delegates. Throw in typically reliable blue states NY with 29 delegates, Illinois with 20, and PA with 20, and the Dems have a voting block with only 4 states that put them almost 1/2 way to the 270 needed to win in virtually every recent presidential election. The rest of the typically blue states on the east and west coast add another 71 votes combined.

All tolled, that means that the Dems start each Presidential Election with 194 Electoral College votes "in the bank". Michigan is 16 electoral votes and is a swing state, but typically swings to the left.

Therefore, it's not a stretch to say that in most election years, the Dems are at the starting gate with somewhere between 194 and 210 electoral college votes. Would you really want to give that up?

So it doesn’t matter a fucking bit to you how this ridiculous country has been the only democracy on earth where the candidate who the majority of the voters wanted isn't always the winner.

It’s the day of the presidential election. You go to the polling place, proud to exercise your rights and have a voice as an American citizen. The volunteer hands you a ballot, where you can cast your single vote for president.

But then you notice the volunteer hands the voter next to you three ballots. Three.

Wait — what?

No, it’s not clandestine voter fraud, it’s how our electoral college works. Except that you are a voter in one of 21 states in the nation that has only one-third, or even less, of the voting power of the lesser populated states in the nation, or a voter in another 20 states that have less than half of the voting influence on the Electoral College.
Trump became president in 2016 because the votes of millions of Americans didn't actually count. If California had the number of Electoral College votes it would have if the US House seats and the Electiral College votes were actually determined by a proportional count of the population of each state, Hillary would have won the Electoral College vote in a landslide.

Are you aware, Mikey that in this fucked up country, it's theoretically possible for a Presidential candidate to win the office with 23% of the popular vote?

How To Win The Presidency With 23 Percent Of The Popular Vote

The little states are over represented in the US House of Representatives and in the Presidential Electoral College.

In the presidential election one person, one vote. Anything else (EC) is gaming the system. My opinion and I'm sticking to it.

In the meantime the masses of voters piled on top of each other could not survive for a month.

So yeah, tell the people who feed you how to live and under what rule.

Good luck in the contest.

You mean those people in mostly Red states who suck up $billions in taxpayer subsidies each and every year from the far more productive Blue states? Those people who wouldn't survive without the subsidies?

Harvesting federal support
The distribution of farm subsidies does not necessarily follow the amount of agricultural production in a state.

For instance, California is the most agriculture-producing state, according to the USDA, but is 11th on the list for subsidy payments.

North Carolina is in the top 10 for agriculture production but ranks 20th for farm subsidy receipts. Instead, more money goes to Texas, Iowa and Illinois, where large farms grow subsidized commodity crops, like corn and soybeans.

The top 15 states with the most total farm subsidies distributed from 1995 to 2021, ranked by payments, were:

Texas ($44.5 billion)
Iowa ($39. 6 billion)
Illinois ($32.7 billion)
Minnesota ($28.1 billion)
Kansas ($27.7 billion)
Nebraska ($27 billion)
North Dakota ($26.6 billion)
South Dakota ($21 billion)
Missouri ($17.4 billion)
Indiana ($16.5 billion)
California ($16.3 billion)
Arkansas ($15.9 billion)
Ohio ($12.8 billion)
Wisconsin ($11.7 billion)
Oklahoma ($11.5 billion).
