WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—House Republicans expressed alarm after an increasingly unhinged Rep. Jim Jordan subpoenaed himself to testify before Congress.

In a blistering statement, the House Judiciary Committee chairman demanded that he comply with his subpoena and called himself a “toadying Soros-backed flunky.”

“The message to Jim Jordan is clear: you can run, but you can’t hide,” Jordan said.

The Ohio congressman warned that, if he refused to testify, he would have “no other choice” but to call for himself to be jailed.

Behind the scenes, Jordan’s G.O.P. colleagues discussed replacing him as the chair of the Judiciary Committee with a more mentally stable member of their conference, such as Lauren Boebert or Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Wandering between exhibits, John Einum — a Trump supporter from Wisconsin wearing an anti-President Biden hat and shirt — said that any other Republicans running for president are not ready.

“He’s been there, he’s done it, he knows who the swamp is, he knows who his enemies are, and he’ll oust them,” he said of Trump. Pence, he said, “is not going to be in the equation.”

His wife, Sparky Einum, agreed, and said she likes Trump’s “forthrightness” and that “he doesn’t wishy-wash.”

“He just lays it down and tells you right into your face whether you’re good or bad, and I believe in honesty. Sometimes he steps on somebody’s feet, but he’s still honest,” she said.

They are by no means extreme, but very typical and Trump is their savior.

Noem, who signed an executive order onstage at the event that she said would protect the Second Amendment from “being infringed upon [by] financial institutions,” said her almost 2-year-old granddaughter already has two guns.

“I want to reassure you, she already has a shotgun and she already has a rifle. And she’s got a little pony named Sparkles, too, so the girl is set up,” said Noem.

Guess can now protect herself when she begins school. Of course we know she is just pandering.

What has been proven in the last six years is what Tillerson said, Trump is a fucking moron. And his recent rants against the judiciary besides picking on AG's more than proves it. But to these wingnuts, he is their hero. I am convinced that if Trump is even convicted, there will be violence in the streets and bloodshed. And how can the NRA with just 5 million members have this level of influence and power to subvert the 2nd Amendment? Takes more than just money.
