Look at the bright side. Very few people will be flying and we will all get free upgrades to First/Business class.
You mean the deflection from the U.S. leading every other civilized country in the world in shootings? That deflection?
Someone asked how the Repubs refusing to enact any measures on gun restrictions can sleep at night. That NRA money make for nice fluffy pillows for sound sleeping.

The countries worse than the USA are predominately Third World without a strong rule of law. Those better than US are predominately First World with the rule of law. I'm not convinced that being better than lawless Third World countries is a particularly big accomplishment for the world's wealthiest country and leading democracy. YMMV.

Still wondering when that "more guns will make us safer" thing kicks in?

Can someone explain again why I can buy an AR-15 but not an RPG?
They are both defensive weapons, correct?

Why? Because I disagree with folks? It started out quite civil a number of years ago. Then the personal attacks began because folks disagreed with me. I'm not complaining about it, but when I give back some of what I receive, I can depend on you to pop up and tell me that I'm the one who's not civil.

Your posts should come equipped with a laugh track as standard equipment.

You can depend on no such thing. I usually don't bother.

Your post above doesn't synch with your premise. Your premise is more guns = more violence. Given the per capita stats you provided on gun ownership in the USA, murder and violent crime rates should match or exceed those countries that are "Third World without a strong rule of law."

You also failed to address the lack of correlation between the proliferation of guns in the USA and the rate of decrease in violent crime rates.

Sorry, but the above is not an answer. Not even close.
