Maybe, maybe not. Here's last year's Christmas card from the Congressman representing the district (TN-05) where this shooting took place.

Needless to say, Fox News is already blaming doors.

In Tennessee, residents can carry handguns in public without a permit, concealed or open. Also considering lowering the age from 21 to 18 for carrying without a permit. Its a gun owners paradise.

"Open carry", aka "Constitutional carry" by the advocates.
Others may call it intimidation, and/or menacing.

I hope it doesn't get to the point that one is sort of forced to carry to be considered respectable. Strapping on a big pistol all the time would be discomfortable.

Anyone remember some places mandating open carry?

I recall hearing of a town somewhere in the south that made gun ownership mandatory once, but not the carry part.

It took you guys one post to start politicizing the shooting. The bodies were still laying where they were shot, and you made it about Republicans and gun control. No matter that the firearms were purchased legally. No matter that the police investigation isn’t anywhere near complete. Just go right ahead and trot out the same old tropes for no other reason that it makes you feel better.

What a bunch of sick bastids you are.

Your side doesn't get to pick the time to discuss gun control. Besides, a mass shooting has occurred at least daily so far this year. Do we have to wait until there are no more shootings before it's appropriate to discuss them?
