Is Today's Trumpist GOP Fascist?

Redding/Shasta area, used to drive through there frequently when I had a company in Portland, stopping in Yreka or Ashland overnight. That area is is affectionately known to its residents as the State of Jefferson (an independent state in their mind), they even have own radio station where flame throwers like Mark Levin and Lars Larson pontificate about how evil the liberals are. They want to secede from California and become part of Western Idaho. Here is a little background from May 2021.

Last week, in a nonbinding but revealing election, five counties in eastern Oregon endorsed a plan to secede from the liberal-leaning parts of their state and take a chunk of the State of Jefferson with them. The master plan: to become part of Idaho and then add all or parts of Siskiyou, Shasta, Tehama, Del Norte, Modoc and Lassen Counties on the California side of Oregon’s southern border.

I'm wondering if ads not tied to specific content count. Or if they will say your employer was paying you to blog whether he was or not. State officials are seen to have great discretion here, as long as the state court lets them get away with it, and the bill specifies the court venue for disputes.

A Texas lawmaker is proposing giving property tax relief to heterosexual couples with four or more children.

According to the bill, only couples involving "a man and a woman who are legally married to each other, neither of whom have ever been divorced" qualify for the tax cut. The tax relief doesn't apply to single parents, same-sex couples, LGBTQ couples, couples with at least one partner who has been previously divorced, and couples who had biological or adopted children before they were married.
