He was a very experienced and well-regarded federal prosecutor, now a politician, who opined that "Trump obstructed justice by failing to comply with a subpoena." His non-compliance is incontrovertibly true. A federal judge agreed that he probably committed a crime when he approved the search warrant of a former president's residence.
A federal judge in California also said that Trump and John Eastman committed a crime with their fake electors scheme and a jury in New York just found the Trump Organization guilty of criminal tax fraud. And this is just the beginning of the bad news on the criminal front for Dear Leader. Fani Willis is likely to drop an indictment for multiple state election fraud and racketeering charges by the end of this month. You'd best get accustomed to this.

Good call, great response and to the point.

WILMINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Lawyers scouring President Biden’s garage in Wilmington, Delaware, have been unable to find any plans to overthrow the United States government through a violent insurrection, the lawyers have reported.
In addition, the lawyers said, a thorough search had not turned up any instructions to subvert election results by spreading baseless claims about voter fraud or by promoting slates of fake electors.
“If, in searching President Biden’s garage, we had uncovered evidence of plans to end democracy as we know it—or, for that matter, proof of systematic tax fraud spanning a period of many years—we would have informed Attorney General Garland immediately,” the lawyers’ official statement read.
The lawyers revealed that they did discover plans to build a Jacuzzi and a barrel sauna on the President’s deck but said that they would not be forwarding those documents to the Department of Justice.
In Washington, House Republicans flatly rejected the lawyers’ account. “The American people are sick and tired of President Biden being less than honest with them,” Rep. George Santos said.

Speculation and supposition. "Trump obstructed justice by failing to comply with a subpoena." We do NOT know if this is "true". This is an argument that the DoJ is making, and has hired a special counsel to investigate. Unless you have or Goldman has a news scoop that the Special Counsel has concluded the investigation, and has already recommended that the DoJ file charge, we don't even know if there's a case sufficient for the DoJ to prosecute.
I understand that you're anxious to see Trump behind bars, but at least try to curb your enthusiasm until the legal process has reached a conclusion.

Back to name-calling again, Chicklet? You're about as predictable as the sunrise.
Since I'm such as huge hypocrite, you should have no problem locating and posting examples here in this thread where I've agreed with and/or joined in with the idiotic "lock her up" chants. Go ahead and post them here. I'll be back to see them all here later.

...although what that point might be is only obvious to those without the ability to discern critical differences.
For example, you want to be all flustered when a bunch of folks at a rally, with no real power or authority, chant "Lock her up". But you don't bat an eyelash when a sitting US senator publically states that a former president should be in jail?
How about the countless newspaper articles asserting Trump's guilt or likely complicity in collusive activities with Russia?
Or, how about an elected House Representative stating Trump should be in jail. Don't recall you or Chicklet being annoyed by that.
Or this House Representative stating that Trump should go to jail?
By the way, there's nothing new here. We lived through repeated demands in the Press and from D.C. that Bush and Cheney must "go to jail".
So, please spare me your (and Chicklet's) faux outrage.

Yes, we do. After the subpoena and at Trump's direction, his lawyer signed a sworn affidavit saying that all classified documents had been returned. In-house security video showed his minions moving the documents after DOJ requested their return and a subsequent court-authorized search found over 100 such documents.
The facts are clear. What isn't clear is whether DOJ has the political will to prosecute.

Trump's future National Security Advisor led the "Lock her up" chants and Trump then said that he agreed 100%.
Every one of the illegal acts that were highlighted by these various Democratic politicians were done out in the open in full public view. There is simply no doubt that he committed illegal acts. The issue is whether law enforcement would hold him accountable.
