Legal experts: New special counsel makes it 'much easier' and 'more likely' to indict Donald Trump
https://www.alternet.org/special-cou...kes-it-easier/

Quote:
On Wednesday Moss had said about the Trump versus Biden classified documents issues, “Objective legal analysts have spent 6 months making clear that criminal liability for Trump exists only because of his obstruction. Absent that, DOJ wouldn’t bother prosecuting an accidental mishandling case here.”

“Nothing I have seen has changed my mind yet that Biden and his team, for now at least, are not at risk of criminal exposure,” he also said Wednesday. “Nor do I have any reason to believe this changes the calculus on an indictment of Trump. That said, this sloppiness by Biden’s staff angers me.”

“I still don’t view it as a criminal issue,” he added.

In the comments sections of online articles I like to TROLL faithful by responding to their outrages against Biden by replying to them with "LALALA, and there's nothing you can do about it, LALALA". That seems to really upset them.

...and the law that you were clueless about.

By the way, it's pretty hard to "steal something" when 1) the FBI knows where that something is, 2) they've seen it at its location and 3) they've asked you to put a padlock on it.

You and your "undeniable facts" are hilarious.

I will say this: the explanations, timelines, etc. that have been published about the Biden documents don't make much sense to me.

1) It's been reported that: "So far, there have been at least three distinct classified document discoveries. The first came on Nov. 2 of last year, while a Biden lawyer was clearing out a closet in the president's old office space at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement..." I've worked with a large number of lawyers, have lawyers in the family, and I can't say I've ever heard a lawyer say they've "cleaned out a closet" as part of their job duties.
2) Why were Biden's lawyers on site - and I'm sure Biden's lawyers charge a pretty hefty hourly rate - at the Penn Biden Center for office clean-up duties?
3) On Nov. 14, 2022, Garland assigned Chicago based US Attorney Robert Lausch to investigate the Mar-a-Lago documents. This was 10 days after “lawyers” found classified documents in the Penn Biden office, and reportedly alerted the Justice Dept about it. No special counsel was considered or appointed at that time, not even any mention of it, until long after the mid-terms were over.
4) If Justice was able to keep a lid on the Biden document news until well after the midterms, why is it coming to light now? The story was able to be kept under wraps until January 10, 2023, when CBS broke the story about US attorney Lausch being appointed by Garland to check things out. (I think it was you dismissing a prior story posted in this forum sourced from CBS News, saying "CBS News isn't what it used to be", or something like that. But, I digress...) We're supposed to believe that it took Garland over 2 months to get concerned over mishandled classified documents?
5) According to this timeline published by ABC News, Lausch told Garland that a special counsel needed to get involved on January 5th. Garland didn't do it until January 12th, when the additional documents turned up in an additional location.
6) Mar a Lago has 24/7 Secret Service protection. The documents at Mar a Lago were stored under lock and key, as requested by the FBI. The Penn Biden think tank doesn't have 24/7 secret service protection unless Biden is there. There might be a rent-a-cop stationed in the lobby, but there's been no reporting on that as far as I know. The documents were in a closet, in a manner that I'm sure wasn't reviewed by the FBI.

This timeline, and apparent lack of aggressive desire to retrieve classified documents, is what is feeding the narrative about "unequal treatment." I don't really buy that argument, and I'm not among the folks calling for immediate raids, etc. Mostly because the raid at Mar a Lago didn't need to happen either, IMHO. As stated above, I strongly suspect classified documents have been historically mishandled, and could probably be found from sea to shining sea.

I'm more curious about "why now"? Why is this story coming out now, over 2 months after the fact? That invites speculation similar to that floated by Jackson. A conspiracy by Dems to keep him from running? Doubt it. But I'd still really like to know "why".

tRump took what didn't belong to him. That's theft. The FBI knew where the docs were when someone snitched. He claimed, personally and through his attorney, that all had been turned over (they weren't).
A little more levity for you, you're welcome
Boy, you really hate having your bullshit arguments taken apart.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt - It's better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid.

LOL. You go from ridiculing this stupid conspiracy theory when it was uttered by a Democrat to excusing it when uttered by a Republican.

Personally, I'm far more prone to ascribe to Occam's Razor than to wingnut conspiracy theories when it comes to explaining current events. You should try it sometime. It's very liberating.

When you've been trained to expect everything you hear from the Democrats is a lie I understand that sentiment. You've been so eager to slam Biden I wouldn't be surprised if you're ticked that you didn't get the chance to start this thread

It's fascinating to watch how a diseased MAGAMoron mind works. Rather scary, truth be told. You wonder how anyone could be so misguided in their (complete lack of) thought process.

I didn't excuse anything, genius. I disagreed with it. I simply said that explanations offered by the Biden camp so far make no sense, and that invites speculation. Neither speculation makes any sense.

However, I gotta say that anything coming out of Hank Johnson's mouth is at risk of causing a laugh fest. This is the same genius - so apparently you two would make good company - that who was worried that adding additional military assets to Guam would cause the island to capsize.

Since this is also in Chicks' world, I gotta ask: Hey Chicklet! Has Guam capsized yet?
