I believe this is what social media does, lead the voters by their noses. Here the Repubs voted for a Repub (didn't matter who), Dems voted for a Dem (same) and it seems like more Republicans voted in that district than the Democrats. Then they got hit with their Oops moment and now both parties look stupid.

Lets not forget HRC lost in a similar fashion to the ultimate Liar in 2016 under similar situation, she too took the voters for granted.

This is a great summation of the current Republican party.

The Republican candidates this era has produced—Herschel Walker (a pretend cop), Kari Lake (a pretend populist), and now Santos (a pretend everything)—are indicative of a party that only pretends it wants to govern.

I am quite fascinated by this Santos fictional character and here is another tidbit from none other than WSJ. So in the end, both Faux and WSJ are both dropping Santos like a hot potato.

But the most damaging part of Mr. Santos’s story is that national Republicans knew the details of his official biography were suspect and did nothing. Senior Republican staffers have told reporters that these falsehoods were widely known and became a running joke.

If this is true, why didn't the DNC hear about this? This is now becoming less about Santos and more about the two parties being conned.

I believe no one expected him to win, he had already lost the previous time, so he flew under everyone's radar until he won and then lights shined on him. Better late than never I guess.

But this is lighting a fire under McCarthy's butt and for this I am happy to have a front row seat. He needs this guys vote desperately and technically can and most people believe will seat him and then the legal fireworks will begin. The 118th House will be distracted for a few months which is best under the present circumstances.
