Will Ron DeSantis be the Republican Candidate for President in 2024?
DeSantis seems to be Rupert Murdoch's choice.

Ron DeSantis should be considered extreme right like Bernie is extreme left and will be the darling of the MAGAts but not so to the moderates and independents. Tim Scott is the one I think has a great chance. Any one of the GOP candidates need to withstand a full bore Trump assault, not sure who can and how the cult will react.

With Trump fading, I think the primary will draw more than its fair share of wannabes. DeSantis strikes me as fairly light weight with weak national appeal. With the weakness shown in the midterm results the GOP needs a "moderate" party unifier.
