I have lost all hope in the near term for any political normalcy in this country. The inmates, aka GQP is taking over without a clue as how to deliver on their promises nor do they have the ability to govern.

Let the shit show begin and sooner the better, and hopefully we will soon get over it. But then power is very addictive, so need to temper my hope with some patience and caution.

The GOP is creating a country of poorly educated ill informed people who immerse themselves in conspiracy theories and cannot afford to buy a pot to piss in without social security or other government handouts. No wonder the GOP is opposed to universal health care, sooner these people are replaced, the better.

We moved to Reno in January and had high hopes for this state since it was trending blue due to CA transplants. Seems like NV has drank copious amounts of election fraud nonsense while blaming Biden for all of the country's economic ills like inflation and high interest rates. Looks like yard signs in Washoe County is trending 50-1 for the GOP. Trump 2020 flags have long disappeared but soon will be replaced with 2024 once the moron declares his candidacy.

One thing the GQP is powerless over is people like me who are well educated and command high salaries and/or own successful businesses. If they kick us out, there goes their tax revenue. Fortunately if you are a good sized employer in the US and pay fair share of your taxes, you are treated extremely well, especially by the financial institutions and local authorities. So I consider myself very fortunate not to have to live under the thumb of these clowns who very soon will tear this country apart.

Above all, Reno is a great place to live despite the Trumpers and the area where we live is semi rural, homes are spaced far apart and seems we are insulated from the insanity like the central valley of CA. And once you avoid politics, people we meet in general are very classy, friendly and helpful.

Have considered moving to my Mothers family homeland. Canada, French that is. At my age and the kids settled on here. All I did was think. Funding moved for everyone and the “It will be alright” from them. Decided stay put and face the on slot to come!

I recall past member Dan (4-2-7) frequently alluding to "owning the libs". For the GOP candidates, this is all that is needed to get elected.
