Which makes me scratch my head and wonder why a moderate like you would oppose a law that blocks the same type of bigotry that you claim to abhor.

I was responding specifically to your statement "Having politicians pass laws that interfere with free speech is wrong" and this is exactly what the judge found that DeSantis did. Moreover, it's not the only First Amendment case DeSantis has lost (and he has another in the pipeline that he is likely to lose).
Yet conservatives applaud his obviously illegal behavior while continuing to accuse private parties of First Amendment violations (a legal impossibility). Bottom line - While making lots of noise about the First Amendment, today's GOP is the one actively violating it while accusing others who are constitutionally incapable of First Amendment violations of doing so. Typical wingnut projection to cover for their own transgressions.

Wow, self-control is a good thing. I believe the intent of bunching panties is working. If you were not seeing red you would see it.
Oh well

I also said that school systems have the job of determining curriculum, and that sometimes they get it wrong but most often not. What you want to dismiss - rather dishonesty - as wingnut projection goes on regularly in schools controlled by both Republicans and Democrats. That part of the law you referenced remains in force.
The part of the law that was struck down impacts the workplace. There are already laws in place that control what employers say, particularly in the context of collective bargaining activities as well is speech that is discriminatory. This conversation started in part about a law that would make getting up and waking out of an employer meeting “protected speech.” That’s overreach. You thought that was just fine, but you’re calling a law that prevents an employer from engaging in discrimination an assault on “free speech”.
You’re a walking, talking contradiction.

Federal authorities are on pace to make more than 2.3 million arrests during the 2022 fiscal year, which ends Sept. 30. That will far exceed last year’s record of more than 1.7 million arrests.

Notwithstanding your predictable blather, the judge specifically stated that it violated the First Amendment, something conservatives claim to hold dear (unless it's used to muzzle speech they disagree with). The judge said that the Bill " could effectively criminalize the protected speech of hundreds, if not thousands, of law-abiding Floridians. … This violates the First Amendment.”
So, in addition to muzzling (private) corporate speech, banning books from libraries and opposing academic freedom, your Dear Leader has said that the free press is "truly the ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE!", 61% of Republicans (and 78% of Evangelicals) said they favor “ the United States officially declaring the United States to be a Christian nation,” and conservatives demand that privately-owned social media platforms host their dangerous propaganda and lies. So, tell me again how it is that conservatives support the First Amendment.

Flies in the face of your favorite Reich-wing media liars, proclaiming that the Biden Admin is "doing nothing" about illegal immigration, doesn't it? You really are bad at this...

Why do Repubs and Reich-wing media keep crying " OPEN BORDERS? More than 2.3 million arrests during the 2022 fiscal year doesn't sound like open borders to me.
