President Z just made a huge mistake by asking for a fast track membership into NATO.
https://www.yahoo.com/news/ukraines-...075200718.html
It indicates that he's really scared all of a sudden, and a denial will green light Putin into using a tactical nuke.

There won't be a denial, there will be a fast-track process that will take considerable time.
Putin, of course, should be red-lighted on the nuke by Personal Assured Destruction. Let him know that if he nukes anyone he personally will be 'nuked*.' I've always liked the sort of warning that consists of inserting a note into his personal space that says "Bang! You're dead."

NATO will slow walk Ukraine's membership till the situation clears because once Ukraine is a member, NATO forces will have to join the fight which will begin WW III.

Interesting analysis of Putin's tactical nuclear options, and the possible results. Bottom line: they aren't likely war-winners for him, quite the opposite. Only political restraint keeps NATO from totally suppressing Russian SAMs, and once that is done the Ukrainian Air Force, suitably supplied as it would be, can utterly demolish the Russian invaders. Russian use of nukes would clear away lots of political constraint.

The USAF has that top secret, unmanned space shuttle thingy.
Maybe they have some laser guided, depleted uranium rods they can drop on Putin's hide out.
That's the only way we could go 'tit for tat'.

That could work. Has the advantage of not being an actual nuclear bomb.

And we could deny where they came from, claim it was divine. I doubt they'd show on radar, either.
Back in about '05, a landing strip was built at a tiny county airport north of Hays, KS. People were WTH, it's long enough to land a Space Shuttle on. Like 15,000 feet long. People still don't know why it's there, or who paid for it.
