I think this is typical of most people.

We have a customer who told me once, "we don't want answers, we want solutions". So they would much rather we solve a problem for them than think for themselves. Sounds good on the surface to have a captive audience, but when something does go wrong, its impossible to get them to understand and they think we are doing something wrong.

Guess this also extends to people in general and this is what we are seeing now. Media is giving them what they want and/or like to hear and this goes mostly unchallenged.

Well here comes the kicker.

A federal appeals court dealt social media giants a blow Friday when it upheld a Texas law that seeks to stop platforms from removing posts if the removal can be viewed as discriminating against a "viewpoint."

So this means that even if its identified as a disinformation campaign, the social mediate companies cannot censor it. This is the way to legally make a lie the truth.

Why it matters: If the law goes into effect, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other social media companies with more than 50 million users will effectively be prevented from enforcing content-related rules on any user postings that can claim to express a political view.

The ruling opens a door for similar laws to be passed by other states, unless a future U.S. Supreme Court appeal reverses it.

Any thoughts on how the SCOTUS will rule on this one? I will bet they whiff at it. Otherwise the noise will be deafening with elections around the corner.
