Well, that was quick, eh comrade?
KHERSON 1500/ UTC 12 SEP/ Breaking information from the UKR General Staff reports that RU units on the N bank of the Dnieper are presently negotiating the surrender of their positions and weapons. It is unknown if this a localized or a general capitulation.

My fellow Russians:
My 3 day war in Ukraine has run 6 months. We lost the battles of Kyiv & Kharkiv. The Moskva was sunk. 50,000 Russian soldiers have died. Our army in Kherson is surrounded. Our army at Izyum is in full retreat.
Next phase of this war will be even more glorious.

As its often said, "doing the impossible takes a little bit longer" and Ukraine is proving it. For Russia, this was a Specialized Military Operation, for Ukraine this is a war for survival. Pootin badly miscalculated like our own Bush 2 and the neocons miscalculated their shock and awe strategy and got shoes instead of roses.

Err...Bush 2 and the Neocons actually achieved all their objectives in Iraq.
The 1,000 pairs of shoes was part of their calculated risk, and represented a kill ratio something attuned to 1,000 to 1.
Not that I'm taking their side, I'm just wondering how you can compare Iraq with the Ukraine, as if they are parallels.

His only comparison was saying that both Dubya and Putin miscalculated about the success of their respective invasions. Moreover, they both lied about the motivation/justification for their invasions. They both displayed an irrational hubris.

Headlines and localized events have not changed the strategic compass of the war.
Ukraine's major problem is to prevent being landlocked.
The Russians hold the cards.

Maybe you should stop getting your headlines from RT.

Lies, and irrational hubris, for sure.
The 'coalition' forces decimated Iraq, on the other hand, with Saddam Husain swinging from a noose.
That was the goal; re-establish a balance of power in the region, and weaken Iraq completely. And spread some wealth among friends.
