You have a lot more confidence in the Russian army and Putin as a master strategist than I do. I'm betting the Russians retreat to the east bank of the Dnipro pretty soon and try to stabilize their lines. There are already reports of them abandoning occupied settlements west of the Dnipro.

It seems that Putin's paid propagandists are far less confident than you are. Indeed, they look desperate.

Anyone here remember the 1966 movie The Russians Are Coming, The Russians Are Coming.





Ukraine is about to remake that movie with a slightly amended title, The Russians Are Leaving, the Russians Are leaving.

What an incredible turn of events and kudos to the Ukraine military. Good to see Putin's butt being kicked and finally even the Russian military is admitting defeat. Also the Chechens are having second thoughts about fighting in Ukraine. This is what happens when Russia is broke with no resources and has to buy Scuds and Duds from Iran and Lil Kim. Imagine mass murderers Putin, Khameini and Lil Kim sitting at a table, a sickening thought.

Now comes the gruesome task for the Ukrainians to bury their dead, a lot of them civilians, killed and lying exposed for months.

Any Russians should be buried with a generous sprinkling of sunflower seeds.

Remember that Ukrainian grandmother who told some Russian soldiers to put sunflower seeds in their pockets so that their graves can be easily identified.

It's a war of attrition now, killing Russian soldiers and destroying Russian warware while Russian momentum remains stagnant and Russian home support withers without justification for the cost of an unwarranted invasion and destruction of a blameless sovereign neighbor state.

Of course wars of attrition take a long time and either side can lose them. The current success at penetrating the defensive line and rapidly exploiting suggests a more decisive war of maneuver is possible.
