I just showed you that it wasn't actually removed from job qualifications. Are you really so stubborn or credulous to believe that this brouhaha wasn't just the GOP and Wingnut Media contriving a false story about this supposedly new cadre of jackboot thugs murdering wingnuts for delinquent taxes because that's exactly what Fox News is saying ( "Joe Biden's new army ... will hunt down and kill middle class taxpayers that don't pay enough"). That's the fake news.
Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

The fake part, of course, is playing to the lie that the IRS is recruiting an army to oppress the citizenry, by falsely implying that most of the IRS jobs are 'Special Agent" jobs.

No, you showed me the job qualifications after they were updated. The originally posted qualifications - per the Newsweek article I posted which you apparently never looked at - originally used the words: “Carry a firearm and be willing to use deadly force, if necessary.”
It's really that simple. You can make it more complicated if you want, but you'll do it by yourself.
Or, are you just bitching about "false narratives on Fox News"? That's a laugh, as you were - and are still - fully invested in the many false narratives and news stories that come from some of your favorite outlets:

It's funny how you've complained in the past about the behavior of police, but expanding the law enforcement arm of the IRS - and doubling the IRS in size - seems to be just fine with you.

You continue to conflate the scary "IRS police" with the whole IRS, I notice.
BTW, do you have actual numbers on how much the law enforcement arm of the IRS is being expanded? Of course you don't, no one does. Any job announcements out now were based on previous planning, not the new funding.
I also note you just come back punching, completely shrugging off the wreck of your 'what fake news?' narrative.

There's no material difference between the language. The current job description says "carry a firearm... and respond to life-threatening situations on the job." This has been true of IRS Special Agents for over 100 years and nothing has changed in that regard. Hunting down major drug dealers and money launderers isn't exactly a pleasant and safe task.
And you're still contending that Fox News asserting that these agents will be tasked by "Joe Biden ... to hunt down and kill middle class taxpayers that don't pay enough" isn't fake news? You're one sick, delusional puppy who simply isn't willing to admit that your parroted wingnut news isn't true.
BTW, you (and others) may not be aware that Newsweek is no longer considered a credible news source since about 2013. Indeed its owner was convicted of fraud and money-laundering in 2020. Maybe that has some bearing on its views of IRS enforcement.

I suppose when your Dear Leader is one of the biggest tax frauds in American history that you become pretty sensitive to tax law enforcement.

Can you post me to any post where I stated anything like that? Your skill at building straw men is unrivaled. Congrats, I guess.

By the way, you and others might be shocked to learn that not everyone agrees with you. One example:

Overall, we rate Newsweek Left-Center Biased based on editorial positions that slightly favor the left. We also rate them High for factual reporting due to proper sourcing and timely correction of errors. (5/18/2016) Updated (M. Huitsing 04/15/2022)
